Do you also have 1:1 project cars?

I have a 68 corvette with a 73 flood car for parts, and a rebuilt chassis from a 75. The frame needs to be modified where the fuel tank goes so the bumper brackets will line up properly, but I’m making steady progress on it. It going to have a LS/T56 with 410 posi, 18x10 wheels in the back and 17x8 in the front

I used to work for the company that made those offset T-arms in the back. I probably built 500 of those and 1500 or so rear bearing supports! Good folks to deal with.

The rear end will be a shortened Ford 8.8 out of an explorer with 4:10s limited slip and disk brakes on the mopar leafs for now and eventually go to a 4 link.

Nice! I love to see these little A bodies get some attention.

I dabbled in A bodies for awhile.

Sean I think you need to at least save that 400 engine and 350 trans before you let it go. Just make sure you have had a tetanus shot before you do that part. A good leaf blower will take off a few panels it looks like. If you swap it into the S10 you can call it a P10. Yes that would be to much work.

That's what I did with it when I got it, I got it running and drove it around the yard a couple of times. All the electrical was shorting out, I ran my own wires to a toggle, a momentary switch and a light bulb for the alternator. If someone wanted the car I'm sure it would be pretty much for the engine and transmission. I even have a couple 200-4Rs for it, I'm somewhat of a transmission collector. 

I guess the S10 is definitely project status now, I put the tag, insurance and even the back tires on a different truck. It looks very pitiful sitting in the back yard.

What the heck, I'll jump in with my never ending project, the Datsun 510

Still trying to figure out the EFI system, but getting pretty close to cruising it. Some interior work needs to be finished, like the carpet and some slight clean up on body work, where have dinged it while working on it.

Drug this home last year,it's rough and not sure I am going to finish it but has a lot of good parts if I find a better body. Had one for a first car and been wanting another for years,they can still be found reasonable so no sense in spending a bunch of money on this one.

Thanks! It is a VG33E that has been punched out to 3.4L with flat top pistons. Just enough to let it get out of its own way. LOL!

This is super cool.

I love that combo. But I think I like it most because you didn't put an SR20DET in it like most people would have.

I like the smoothness and torque of the V6, and yes, the SR and KA are way too common. They are the SBC of the Nissan crowd.

1968 Chevelle convertible . I have owned it since 1986. Finishing up a total restoration /pro touring build . It has a new 6.0 liter LS motor, many Global West suspension components and basically all the sheet metal has been replaced or repaired.

The first junkyard transmission I got for the van was no good. They found me a replacement yesterday and I put it in today. It seems fine, shifting a little weird but it's low on fluid because I ran out. The S10 is off the road, I put the tag on my yard Ranger. I think I'm going to try my first transmission rebuild with it, or at least my first disassembling of a transmission and then head scratching. :D

Purchased my 1960 Corvette in 1983. In a previous life she was a stripper (drag strip racer). She has been a WIP for most of her life. It wasn't until 10-15 years ago I got her 99% complete.

Still own the old gal and had her out yesterday for a hour cruise around the town. It's my escape machine and puts a smile back on my kisser when I've had a stressful day, which is now quite frequently since becoming a 24/7 caregiver for my 92 year old Dad.

I drove a 2008 Ranger at work. It had the 2.3 (or is it a 2.5 ?) with a 5-speed auto and a 4.10 gear.  Ran like grease through a goose and returned excellent duel economy. First time I drove it I thought, How cool would this engine, trans, and rear be in a Pinto wagon ? 
Just as @Ace-Garageguyand others have mentioned, it's not as simple as a "cut and paste" swap because of the computers and components involved in doing it properly. The cost involved alone is a deterrent ! Then there's the whole doing the conversion properly -- lots of butchers around.

It seems appropriate since the Shay Model A Ford replicars of the 70's/80's used Pinto engines in place of 1920's flathead A engines. I believe even some real Model A Fords have had Pinto engines transplanted into them.
