Heller Bentley blower

happy grumpy

Recommended Posts

This is the most recent issue of a rather old but still nicely detailed kit. I would not recommend this kit for beginners, there are some very small parts and the assembly can be tricky. I am happy that it turned out as it did. These small parts were a challenge to my aging hands and eyes. I will undergo eye surgery next month so hopefully things will improve somehow.

The paint is Tamiya racing green, it looks close enough from the photos I've seen on the web. A nice kit overall but a bit tricky sometimes. I am sure that some modelers here will do a far better job than I did but, in the meantime, enjoy this one as a "coming soon" teaser.

As always, thanks for looking.

Lovely Bentley, Mario. Your efforts have been rewarded with a fine replica. Such cool cars, and your build certainly does them justice. Very well done. I have been wanting to get one of these kits for years. I would love to attempt to tackle one.

 Nice model build Mario!

Jim      The Heller kit is 1/24th scale. It was also reissued under the Revell banner.

I enjoyed the kit.  It's one of the favorites of my collection.  Some of the suspension supports broke on mine and I had to fabricate new ones.  It still came out great.  I've been lucky enough to see one of the real cars and your build does it justice.

You nailed it!  Heller kits are "challenging" to say the least but offer subjects not available anywhere else.

Challenging is a good word for them, but they do reward your patience.

You've done a really nice job on it. I still chuckle at the Enzo Ferrari quote " Mr. Bentley makes some of the fastest trucks in the world."
