JTalmage Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 I thought I posted this, but apparently I have not. Built it in like late March or early April. 79 Mustang pace car kit built as a turbo 4cyl t-top non pace car edition. Unfortunately MPC changed the grille from the original issue of the Cobra to the Pace car edition, so the horizontal slat grille is not correct for a base model. But it is what it is. Used Tamiya yellow for the paint. Someone sent me some houndstooth decals some time ago, that I've used for the seats. Probably not correct for a foxbody, maybe more for a Mustang II. No plug wires or anything like that. Just wanted a quick build. 12
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Clever! Looks like it would work. Sharp looking little car(build).
kelson Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Great color choice in painting it yellow!,one of my future builds is the Monogram 84'convertible in medium yellow.
Robberbaron Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Nice job. I'll admit, I get a twinge of nostalgia now looking at one of these, remembering how they used to be everywhere when I was a kid. 1
happy grumpy Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Great looking Stang, that Tamiya yellow makes it pop.
bogger44 Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Nice to see a 4-eyed Fox. Good looking build that wears yellow well.
StanGlover Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Looks great! I built the ‘79 cobra version a while back as a non-cobra turbo 4. 2
ncbuckeye67 Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I think it looks amazing! Who cares about the seat decals, they look really good.
