Many thanks, Steve. But it´s not a prototype. Volkswagen/Karmann has produced about 444,000 cars of this type between 1955 and 1972 .

Thank you, Noel. Here in Germany there are a lot of them. After all more than 40,000 were built.

I wonder if Revell will ever bring out the Mk2 Karmann Ghia V W to go along with this one?

I don't think as many of those were made Hanjo,  but remember it being a nice looking car.

Noel, there were two types of VW Karmann-Ghia, Type 14 and Type 34. They were not Mk1 or Mk2. Both of them were produced at the same time. Type 14 in about 440,000 units (included cabrios), Type 34 in about 40,000 units.
