Jordan White Posted August 21, 2023 Posted August 21, 2023 Hopefully the Corvette is a full detail kit!

Even a convertible would be nice ! I've always loved this kit !!! ?? They both need the Cobra Jet hood....?

Sport Suburban Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) I didn't have any issues that I can recall with my hood and shakers fitting on both of my builds. Also, it is rumored to have the Twister Special decals in it! Edited August 26, 2023 by Sport Suburban 6
Mr mopar Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Here is a screen shot of the decals from Wes model car corner . 1
RSchnell Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Looks like I need to get more than one of these kits!

That's great news indeed and shows that despite the small crew in charge of US releases, the passion is there, and can only applaud that! Anyway put me down for two!
Sean H Posted August 27, 2023 Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) For those of you who do not know, Raoul (Sport Suburban) has an awesome youtube channel called ‘the muscle car modeler’ Edited August 27, 2023 by Sean H typo 4
Merkur XR4Ti Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 What are folks' preferred sources for Ford Calypso Coral paint that would be needed for the Twister Special?

deuces wild Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 I left him a message stating that the twister decals needed to be added with those side stripes....
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Finished mine last night. I did have the shaker hood problem. Ended up just gluing the shaker to the hood and I had to remove the carb to make the hood shut. Had a little trouble getting the front and rear end on as well. Didn't remember that issue with my last one. Hope to post the pics soon. It's mine and my dad's birthday weekend, so I've been busy. I really like how the ones others have doe came out. I wish mine looked that good.
Mike C. Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Can't decide if I want to build one of these as I already have a few of them already wired and detailed in 1/18 diecast.

There is only one body for both kits. The previous issue of the Cobra used the GT body, the instructions mentioned having to remove the trim. 2 1
Merkur XR4Ti Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Yes, I'm working on mine now and it took less than 5 minutes to sand off the GT louvers on both sides of the body.

Why? Twisters were only in Calypso Coral, so the color wouldn't match either. I assume he used the side stripes because he wanted to and they looked cool, which is all the reason anyone needs.
Zen Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Does this current release come with the photo etch pieces?
