avidinha Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 I built this mostly box stock from the Revell kit. I cut the top off and made the license plate. Tom Selleck is 6' 4" so I'm sure it was more comfortable for him to drive with the top off. This is an old kit and was kinda fiddly to build, but it came out well and the working pop up headlights are fun. 8
Jim B Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Great job on the Ferrari. Well done. I really liked that show.
michelle Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 nice work i prefer the new version better well up till season 4 anyways after that it left cbs i quit watching i know i would love to find a model of the ferrari roadster magnum drives in the new show side not the first episode of the first season of the new series they had magnum driving this type of ferrari to chase after the bad guys and it gets completely destroyed
Howard Cohen Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Nicely done. A bit of trivia from a Ferrari dealer many years ago...until the original tv program came out, red was not the most popular colour for Ferrari in North America as all colours sold equally. Magnum P.I. made red the colour of choice, about 50%.
Street Rod Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Great job on this one! I have this kit on the shelf waiting it’s turn.
Can-Con Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Looks great. You did that old kit justice. They've started showing the reruns on Vision TV here in Canada, been watching them. And, yea, I don't think he would have driven that car with the top on very much. LOL?
espo Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Beautiful looking paint finish and trim. I also don't think Tom could have driven this with the top one. He may have even had to look over the windshield to drive. He more wore this car than riding in it.
karbuildr Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Great job on the Ferrari, very high gloss finish.
ewetwo Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 That is pretty sharp looking. I too like the pop up lights.
spencer1984 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Great job on a tough kit! I ended up abandoning it in favor of a RoG kit so much respect seeing it finished!
ncbuckeye67 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Wow, that looks great! Brings back memories, for sure. I have an original release, still in the box.
