Not a monumental accomplishment but the only thing off my bench this year.  I bought this 57 from a junk box at GSL this year. It was missing bumpers, suspension broken, and body marred and chrome trim done poorly.

I originally bought two 57 Fords for parts but liked the colors on this one, so I started playing with it.  Soon enough it awakened. Not a superb model but looks good in my lineup of 57 Fords. Save!

Like it!  My first ever 1/25th scale kit was a first issue AMT 57 Fairlane so i have a soft spot for them! This would look so good in a parking lot or used car yard diorama. Simple, understated. a little time capsule of the era.

Cheers

Amazing work on that old Ford! I sometimes get more satisfaction from a restoration, than building a brand new kit. It's like a scale version of one of those car shows (and definitely more in my budget, Lol).

I also like the paint colors. They look very much like an optional color scheme that Ford had offered but was not often seen.

Tom, did you do anything to the paint to bring it back? It looks decent!

I sanded out and polished a bunch of glue marks and scuffs. The paint job is just rattle cans without primer. I redid some BMF.  It was just fun to see how much I could repair. And nice enough for the shelf
