Can-Con Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Just a simple rebuild of the old annual with a bit of detail added. Flocking inside and photoetch emblems added along with a few bits under the hood and a set of re-chromed rally wheels from an old promo. 15
karbuildr Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Outstanding restoration. Verr nice color, I like the white interior, and the engine is very well done. 1
Kah puts Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Absolutely stunning! This one reminds me of a a Skylark GS on steroids ?? 1
Claude Thibodeau Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Hi Steve! Great job, who could tell this is a "rebuild"? The color is also era-correct, my dad had a Le Sabre of the same year in that exact shade. I built that kit when I was 12, and my young brother left his fingerprints in the fresh Humbrol paint job... Oh well. I still have the optionnal custom grille and the spaceship air cleaner in my stash. Thanks for the memories! CT 1

ncbuckeye67 Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Beautiful work! I really love the blue you used. A restoration is more satisfying than building a brand new kit, in my opinion. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Really good. Way to go. And-It's a GS! Was 16 when they were new cars. The optional wheel is perfect. 1
mustang1989 Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 I love builds like this. Not only is this a well built and painted up Rivie but the rarity of this build makes it especially cool. I remember seeing these cars as a kid and thought they had an oddly attractive look. You've definitely got no kick coming with this one Steve. Job well done!! 1
happy grumpy Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 A beautiful restauration . I've always find the Riviera of this era quite interesting, design wise. It sure looks the part. Great job. 1
espo Posted January 29, 2024 Posted January 29, 2024 Great looking paint work and color. The redline tires standout with the roadwheels. Like how you tinted the windshield. 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted January 31, 2024 Posted January 31, 2024 Very stylish, heavy hot rod. Nice job. 1

Duddly01 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Beautiful build! I am kind of curious now to know what you started out with. 1
dino246gt Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Very nice! Love the emblems, so neatly foiled, or? It looks beautiful. Great save of an old annual kit. This is a '67, '66 was the final year for the Nail Head, which this car, correctly, does not have. 1

Needed 2 sets to do al the scripts on the '67. 1
