yellowsportwagon Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Found this original issue unbuilt at a swap meet a couple years back for cheap. Had the bumpers replated and built it using only out of the box stuff aside from wheels and tires. Hadn’t put the rad hose and battery in when I took the pictures.? 16
Yeah Nah Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Beautiful Galaxie Tim. Outdoor pics really set it off.
DoctorLarry Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 What did you use for carpeting. The build looks great!

I get a color close to my interior color then dunk it in the waterborne color I’m using for the interior. Squeeze out most of the paint and let dry overnight. The next day roll it up one way then the other to soften it back up again. Cut to desired shape and glue it in with CA.
XYHARRY Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Nice Galaxie there Tim, paint and detail is very good. Wheels and stance are spot on. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
Koellefornia Kid Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Love it! great paint job and a nice stance! Really like the wheels for I used the same set on my ‘65 Galaxie ?

Hobby Lobby has very thin felt squares that are 12x12 for less than a buck. I used that for a saddle interior. They have a bunch of colors but mostly things like black red and gray. Yours makes it near to the color of the seats.

ncbuckeye67 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 That's beautiful! I love the paint color. What did you use (root beer)? I love to look for bargains at shows, but sometimes it's hard to get up from the floor after digging through them storage totes, Lol.

espo Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 beautiful looking color and finish. Like the stance and upgraded wheel & tires.
happy grumpy Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Beautiful work on the Galaxy. Great job on the interior.
stevehansen Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Great color, perfect wheels and stance!!

karbuildr Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Very well done convertible. Nice save, beautiful paint, interior and stance.
Steve H Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Hi Tim, yet another gorgeous build. I can’t remember if you print your own wheels, or are they Zman pieces? Wheels and tires make a vehicle in my opinion, along with a killer stance, you have a knack for choosing the perfect wheels. Is the body colour a custom mix? I’m looking for something similar for an upcoming project. Cheers, Steve
atomicholiday Posted February 28, 2024 Posted February 28, 2024 Wow, sharp car. That looks great. Nice clean build.?
