That Blazer is going to be a big seller for sure.

I wonder though about the VW van. I love it, but hoping the price is significantly less than the recent RoG VW T3 van. It's a great kit, but not cheap.

It's going to come in a North America box and a RoG box, so ours should be a regular price release.

James...big thanks for taking time to photograph and post those images....

As for the Blazer....wow! was my first reaction.  Those separate frame rails?   First impression is that the standard set by the '71 Boss 351 appears to being carrying over to this kit.  As always time will tell, but as noted by many of you above...really good for first impressions....TIM

Exceptionally pleased by the K5 tooling. It looks to be - at least on a superficial level - on the same par as the '71 Mustang with nicely designed pieces like the HEI style distributor and the steering gearbox.

x2. Looks REALLY GOOD on first glance - think I count something like 175 parts?

Body looks like it could have been scanned.  Yay!

Some Thoughts on the Blazer.

Notice the ICM style Multi-part chassis with the separate side rails and Cross members. The Light bar looks good but at only 3 (?) parts is simplified, but I note that the parts for the bar are included the base kit sprues, so any future versions of the kit will give you all the Police parts, as it looks like the radios are in one of the chrome sprues. I like the tread detail on the spare tire, and the Tires themselves look very good. Note too, that the grille is on it's own small sprue, so that by swapping out just the grille sprue, you can depict a different year Blazer. This is thoroughly Modren Tooling, well up to 21st Century standards.

AS we so often note on this board, no modren Model Company tools up a new kit without having plans for multiple versions in mind. When the Stranger Things licensing expires, I expect to see this released with different decals as a Police/Sheriff Blazer, or with added parts, (Brush Guard, Winch, Extra Gas Cans, Driving Lights, and more Aggressive Tires & Wheels) as a Full Blown Off Road Machine. Or something else. Maybe in Forest Service, or Fire Chief Markings...

Anyway, I  predict that we will see other Kits off this tool, but It may be a few years before we do. But, I don't Think Revell spent the Tooling dollars for a One & Done kit.

That clear shot sure has a lot of extra lenses on it. I see headlight and park light lenses on there for a single headlight grille , ,, and what's all those round lenses for ? [5 of them?] ?

I do not have my Camaro kit handy, buy aren't those Cross Laced, BBS style rims new to the Camaro kit? I thought all the rims were the Centerline style. There are two Center line Rims still on the sprue, but I think the Other BBS Rims are new to the Kit. Does the Stranger Things Camaro have those wheels? I wonder too, what tires the Camaro will get. Probably no Slicks on this issue.

Blazer. I see what you mean. There are both Single and Quad headlight lenses on the clear sprue. And I had not counted the Round Lenses that are there. HInts to future plans I would say. From just what others have said, and my own thoughts, I see this Blazer Kit as having very long legs. Revell may have lots of plans for this tooling. I sure hope so. I note, too, that this is a 'serious' Kit. There are no Chromed Engine Parts, and all the parts look to have a stock vibe. This is a good thing.

I hope all these 'Branded' Tie-In kits sell well. All three represent Tooling Dollars allocated to new parts, or an all new kit. Bravo Revell.

Not new. They were in at least the "Midnight Z" version of the kit from the mid '80s and probably in some others afterwards. Very nice wheels too, BTW.

Ah, Okay Then.

Thank You for posting the Photos. With the new flat hood, and using the stock wheels you could build a pretty Base Model V-8 Camaro out of this kit.

No problem Alex, but I just posted the box pic. James was kind enough to supply us with the great shots from the show.

Really excited to see the 79 Camaro kit back again, and with the z28 parts AND the stock flat hood. Very nice! Hopefully we get some new Z28 decals as well, maybe in new colors…. Like green? :)

Will there be chrome parts or is that a thing of the past?

I wonder what was Revell's logic making the brand newly tooled Blazer in 1/25 and not 1/24 to go along with the other Stranger Things vehicles. I get that, if people are just buying these that collect Stranger Things things, then they wouldn't really care about scaling. But then there's us modelers that buy things specifically for scale. And would want to also buy any next versions of the Blazers. So these can hang out and swap parts with AMT/MPC round/square body kits, but not Revell's round/square body kits ??‍♂️

Oh, and where is the new Corvette?

C8 has been shown 2 or 3 times around here already. It's the same display from NNL East. It's going to be in stores literally any day now so it's kind of old news at this point.

Why on earth do I want to swap mediocre old junk into a brand new kit for? Maybe if this was 1985. But if I'm swapping into a brand new 2024 kit, then I'm using nice minty fresh, super accurate 3D printed items. No yoloing into 80s MPC tooling or 80s Monogram/Revell tooling either.

Test shots are just that - test runs of the tooling to see what needs to be fixed, so nothing would be chromed in that process. On the Camaro the sprue with wheels would be chromed, and the Blazer it's the sprue with the mirrors, bumpers, lightbar vase, etc that will be chromed.

Anybdy get a ship date on the C8 Vette?. It looks like it's ready to ship for both versions.

No T-top Camaro body means I’m mothballing my original and waiting for the repop. I also forgot that Camaro kit came with a sweet set of BBS cross lace style wheels that look like they’re still included.

Revell has really outdone themselves on that Blazer tool and I’ll definitely be adding one to my stash, but I still can’t help thinking there are loads of other more desirable subjects that sizable tooling budget could have been better spent on.

I'm with you there.  It's great that Revell is willing to invest in new tooling, and I don't need to relive my childhood that badly.

Those frame rails alone are a tour de force.

Exactly how somebody needs to do a Deuce frame. Then we'd finally get some accurate rails!

These types of opinions are always a bit subjective. I'm sure I'd feel the same way about the subject you would have preferred instead of the Blazer. Out of curiosity, what subject(s) do you think would have been better? Genuine question.

My personal love for the subject matter aside, I think the Blazer is a great idea because it ties into a currently running TV show license and Revell can do a lot with this kit if they so choose to - a Suburban, the various pickup truck versions, not to mention the various grills to represent different years of the pickups, Blazers, and Suburbans. Rounded lines are experiencing a lot of popularity right now as they are now firmly "vintage" trucks. Some lovers of the TV show will buy the kit strictly for the tie-in collectibility aspect, not to build.

Yes indeed on the flat hood. I'd just slap a 6 banger in it as I am weird like that
