STU111 Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 G’day, finished this one just recently. This is a great little kit. Probably the most enjoyable build I’ve done. Finished in Tamiya TS-16 with TS-49 flames airbrushed on using a Lazymodeller vinyl mask. Thanks for looking, any comments welcome. Cheers, Stu. 15
Tim W. SoCal Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Bitchen Model A Hot Rod, Stuart! Creative, period correct and impressive... 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Really good-looking roadster Stuart. Hot Dog Stand colors give it a nostalgic feeling. Nice job! 1
espo Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Great looking Roadster. Smooth paint finish and cleanly detailed engine and chassis. 1
karbuildr Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I'm diggin' that hot rod Stuart. The flame job is top notch. 1
Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Well done! Those Lazy Modeller flame masks are great to use! 1
XYHARRY Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 G'day Stu, that's a really cool hotrod mate, and the flame job looks awesome. I've used those flame masks myself but with rattle cans. Using the airbrush gets a much better result, which shows in your build. Really well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1
Zippi Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 These little Model A Roadsters are Great kits and yours turned out Super nice Stuart. Love those flames. 1
mrm Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Very nice flame job. This kit is indeed a pleasure to build. That is if you don't get one with a warped frame, which has happened to me twice already. Now you have to build the '30 Coupe to keep your roadster company. It builds pretty much the same as this one, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it too. 1

I do have the ‘30 Coupe in the stash, my dilemma is whether I build it as a Ratrod, or as a clean shiny street rod. Either way, I’ll post it here when it’s done.??
STU111 Posted August 13, 2024 Author Posted August 13, 2024 Thanks everyone for the kind comments on the 29. I’m about to make a start on the Revell 32 five window Coupe and am planning on a more modern style for that. Cheers, Stu.??

That’s a place I have found myself many times. Should I build it this way or that way… My approach in these cases is to get a second kit and build them both.
