G’day everyone. Just finished this one. Built OOB except for the Pegasus wheels. I modified the kit suspension to get it nice and low, finished it in Tamiya ts-20 with ts-22 flames airbrushed on with the help of a lazy modeller mask and cleared with ts-13. 57 Chevies are one of the few cars l think look good with flames and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking and any comments welcome. Cheers, Stuart.

Bodacious build Stuart.  Great looking Chevy 150.  The flames look Great.  Nice and clean all around.

Great looking paint colors and flame design. Nice detailing of the FI engine. Like the stance, big brakes along with the wheels & tires.

Beautiful paint!  Don’t imagine working with a mask is an easy task - well done.

G’day Brian, thanks. Actually the flame masks are quite user friendly.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments on the 57. I really enjoyed building this one, l think that I’ll probably build more custom cars in the future, more scope for using your imagination.

Cheers, Stuart. ??

Green is far from the first color that comes to mind when I think of a '57 Chevy, but this looks really, really cool. Your flames are perfectly executed also. Smooth as glass finish must have taken quite a bit of sanding to eliminate the separation line. It goes to proove that a rather straight forward build can look a real winner without bunch of details and mods. I love seeing models like this.

Thanks Michael. I’m getting more familiar with my micro mesh polishing cloths and taking more time with my paint jobs. Thank you for your kind words. ??
