Radretireddad Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 (edited) One of my favorites is the Comet being raced in the UK in the pre ‘66 touring class at Goodwood. Edited October 9, 2024 by Radretireddad 6

Are those all based on the craftsman kits? Thank you, Brian. They are both curbsides, of course, but I went as far as I was able to make them accurate. Yes, they are both based on the old AMT tool, in this case the 2005 Model King reissue. 1
Radretireddad Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 (edited) So when can we see some test shots of the ‘64 Comet?? Edited October 11, 2024 by Radretireddad
Maindrian Pace Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 I hope the '64 Comet is a Cyclone, the AMT Caliente body with all its trim has been available for a long time.
W-409 Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 I don't know which one I'm waiting the most here. I've always been drooling over the Mavericks and Comets of early '70s but I've never had one as the Jo-Han kits usually go for a huge price tag. Seeing Moebius making kits of them means I will definitely need several of them. But then also the '64 Comet is a must have. We've already seen here several different ideas how one could be built.

Well, both Erik Solie and Dave Metzner of Moebius Model participate in this forum and In the past Tim Boyd has done an online build here. And to end there is also Sean Svendsen who does box art for them and build-ups too. So, I'm pretty sure that when they get the approval from Ford, lotsa info will find its way to this forum.

Ragtop Man Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Dave, many thanks for the brief and informative look ahead. Will be looking forward to the kits!!!
Rob Hall Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Interesting..if the Comets are successful, maybe they will do more Mercurys... I'd really like to see a '68-69 Cyclone... 13 1

Mark C. Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Ditto on that. I’ve been hoping for one of those for years.
GMP440 Posted October 13, 2024 Author Posted October 13, 2024 Getting this topic back on track with the 72 Maverick. What versions of the 72 Maverick will we be seeing? Maverick Grabber or a drag version? Maybe both? 5

fairlane1320 Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 I'm hoping to see one (or both) of the Dyno PS Mavericks. They already have a nice Cammer to go with it. This image has been floating around for a few years.... https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/138111-moebius-dyno-don-maverick/ 4 1

However I’d be in for about five of these
Mark C. Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 On the other hand, the stock version is the one I want the most! A six cylinder under the hood would be nice, though I don’t have any expectations for one. 3
PintoKING Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 I sure hope they gonna do the '74-'77 Comets and Mavericks too! But still very very happy to get the '71-'73s (small bumpers) 1

M W Elky Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 They might do it like they did with the f-100’s different years with different options.
