Chris in Berwyn Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 (edited) I bought this kit at least 15 years back when I was in the LHS and thought “I need to try a Fujimi kit.” I later read it’s not considered a great kit. While that is true of the chassis detail and engine, I think it built up to be a great-looking shelf model. The stripes are Tamiya White and the red is Tamiya Italian Red, both from rattle cans. I didn’t use a clear coat. So I waited about 15 years to build it, but I’m glad I finally did! Edited October 6, 2024 by Chris in Berwyn 19

ncbuckeye67 Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 That's gorgeous! My club is doing a Christmas build-off using the newly re-released Cobra kit. I'm still trying to figure out how to proceed with mine....
TooOld Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Great looking Cobra and some really nice paint ! Well done Chris ! Other than the windshield frame I don't see any real problems with this kit .
espo Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Beautiful looking paint finish and racing stripes. All you ever see sitting on the shelf is the exterior anyway.
Zippi Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 That's a Hot little number there Chris. Beautifully done up in the Tamiya paints. That is just so clean looking. That's a looker for sure.
XYHARRY Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Love the painted on stripes and the fact you didn't use clear. Really well done Chris, very clean. Cheers, David. ??
