Exactly!

Here in west central Minnesota, snow is just another day as well.

There is no contemplation about whether or not you're able to get out in it or not.

Either you go about life as normal, or you lock yourself in your house starting in November, (or many times even earlier) and not leave again until sometime in April!

It's snowing as I type this, and we're expecting anywhere from 2 to 6 inches, just for today, and around here that barely registers.

The only question will be, "will I just shovel, or will there be enough where I need to fire up the snow blower".

In my area, a much more important factor as a rule than how much snow falls, is how much wind we get.

4 or 5 inches of snow with light or no wind is barely a consideration.

4 or 5 inches of snow with a 30 mile an hour wind is an all out blizzard!

But even with that said, I've still driven the 23 miles in to work on numerous occasions when I've gotten up in the morning and literally could not see my neighbor's house across the street.

So far this year, the snow fall in our area has been pretty light, with probably around a foot or so currently on the ground, but that will undoubtedly change before it's all said and done.

Where I live, while it certainly can be a nuisance, snow is generally welcomed as much needed moisture that will be highly valued by farmers as it melts in the spring.

Snowing moderately right now.

Just another day in paradise! ;)

Pretty much the same in northern VT.  Just have to watch for the skiers from out of state that believe 4WD in their big SUVs still allows 80 on the interstate!

I wish!

Just part of life in my neck of the woods.

Nobody gets the day off because it’s cold.

Austin , Texas area checking in. I got the day off because it’s cold. No snow or rain was predicted, but there is snow on the ground. I looked outside a little while ago (6am) without my glasses. Saw white and shut the door. I’m going to spend the day cooking. I’ll bake a bunch of biscotti using a modified America’s Test Kitchen recipe and later make a big pot of New England Clam Chowder using Robert Irvine’s recipe.
For now, I’m going back to sleep 👍🏻

3" of snow with a layer of ice under it on Long Island. 7 degrees this morning, already fed the birds. I'm not going far today.

Forecast now down to 30%, what looks like snow showing on NWS radar, but nothing falling here yet.

20F outside, which is very cold for here, and impossible to heat this house "adequately" under the current circumstances...but a lot of people live in much less pleasant conditions, so no whining from me.  :D

A buddy of mine bought 7 houses in Ajo AZ when "Phelps Dodge" pulled out. I went down there once and was amazed that everyone's hot water heater was outside of the house. That would never work anyplace Ive lived.

Nice...it was up to 9 here today outside Cleveland, maybe 10F and sunny.  Down to 3 now, supposed to be down to -9F tonight and up to 14F tomorrow.  Coldest I can recall since the Polar Vortex in 2019.. But at least it's not completely dark at 5:30pm now.. days getting longer.

We got a good 4-6 inches of snow overnight....... The dog loves it! I covered my steps last night, so this morning I could just lift off the snow that had accumulated....... It's 25 degrees out in NC, the sky is some funky grey blue color..........

We got nothin'. 11F last night though, 20F now...42F in here when I got up.

But my outdoor cats all checked in for breakfast, the water pipes under the house didn't freeze, and both trucks started, so all is well.  :)

I saw a pic online this AM from Panama City Beach. Someone on an electric bicycle pulling someone else on snow skies (probably water skies) on the snow covered beach.

The Boston area has only received about 8 inches of snow so far and none is expected in the immediate forecast. We're not ruling out a major storm or two in February though.
