satterwhite78 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Great save! ( Curt says so too!) Great work! Great build to have in your collection. 👍
stavanzer Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Awesome Save! I love that dark green paint job. Only time I ever saw one of these in the flesh, was in Okinawa, Japan at Kadena Air Base. I saw it is 1987 in a parking lot on base. It was black and had Japanese Plates. A leftover from some American, who never shipped it home. Good Show.
GoodbuildNY Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Snake ( god rest his soul) would’ve loved this save. Nice job 1

RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted Thursday at 02:57 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:57 PM @Bills72sj Thanks! That's the remnant of the friction mechanism which is missing a few gears. It no longer works, but I don't need it to work because I'm happy with the nice free rolling wheels. My understanding is the friction mechanism in those old promos were included to kind of replicate the sound of the engine when a kid is rolling the car.
Jim N Posted Friday at 01:39 PM Posted Friday at 01:39 PM Great restoration! You did a fantastic job.
