Awesome! Looks like nearly all of the pieces and options for this kit have survived the test of time.

All we really need now are the stepside bed and topper from EXPRESS-O to complete the series.

Me personally, really hoping Round 2 brings back RISING SUN next!

Killer box art on the one, they knocked it put of the park

Anybody know if the fender blisters are separate pieces?  I would like to build one stock, or close to it.

The fender pieces are all separate.  MPC got a lot of different versions out of the basic truck, but tooled two cabs (stock, and flip front), two interior buckets, two pickup beds, and two engines.  Great kit, especially for its time, but the box art on the '75 annual (first one issued) really doesn't let on how detailed it is.  I bought one about a year after it came out, and was blown away by it.

Thanks!  This one will go on my list.  🙂

What I find odd on this original mpc kit, is that the headlamps are separate chrome inserts that one mounts into the grille.

Of course it's easy to replace those with chrome lenses if one wishes to do so. It's just odd.

The kit dates back to 1975. That's how MPC did pretty well all their headlights back then.

I'd say the only reason we got separate headlights at all is because the grille isn't plated.

And in the case of the BRE version, it lends itself well to blocked off headlights for the race truck!  👍🏻

Oh look.. 2-3 of these I didn't know I needed, this is a wicked looking Datsun! That box art is what has me at 2-3 for sure. I'm doomed, and my wallet is bawling!
