ford fan Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Hi everyone. I have just completed this Amt '62 T-Bird. This kit is really great, I enjoyed every moment of its construction. I added an MCG photoetched set for the extra details (since it is a convertible, the interior is highly visible). The paint is Tamiya Pearl Green, without clear coat but sanded/polished. Thanks for looking ! 24 1
johnyrotten Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Beautiful thunderbird. Great color choice and I real like that interior. 👍👍. One sharp looking car.
Rattlecan Dan Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Very nice paint and detailing. Great-looking build.
espo Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Beautiful paint color and finish show of the body lines. Realistic looking interior finishes and the engine as well. The chrome wires always look correct on this body style.
Bainford Posted September 18 Posted September 18 That's one fine looking T-Bird. I dig the colour, and kudos on some fine foil work. Nicely done.
Falcon Ranchero Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Very nice bullet bird. Another one on my list to build.
Cosmic D Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Sharp build with really clean detail - and I love those wheels.
Dragline Posted September 19 Posted September 19 My fave Bird of all time. That color is poyfect... Well done Sir...
Kit Basher Posted September 19 Posted September 19 That is a beautiful Bird! Very nicely done in every way.
baycolony Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Monsieur Joseph, You have done it again, sir! This is stunning and I agree with the method of not using a clear coat on these early models. It really gives it that "scale" look. It is also a more difficult option whilst risking burn through of the paint.
STU111 Posted Saturday at 06:48 AM Posted Saturday at 06:48 AM Beautiful T-bird. Excellent attention to detail and all round sweet build. Top stuff. 👍🏻
ford fan Posted Saturday at 07:44 PM Author Posted Saturday at 07:44 PM A massive thank you to all of you ! 😀 I'm glad that you like it ! Gil, you are right, a clear coat (especially the PU ones) would make it too shiny considering the year of the car. In order not to burn through of the paint, I started wiht a not too agressive sanding grit (3600 if I remember well).
