ford fan Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM Posted Thursday at 01:28 PM Hi everyone. I have just completed this Amt '62 T-Bird. This kit is really great, I enjoyed every moment of its construction. I added an MCG photoetched set for the extra details (since it is a convertible, the interior is highly visible). The paint is Tamiya Pearl Green, without clear coat but sanded/polished. Thanks for looking ! 19 1
johnyrotten Posted Thursday at 01:34 PM Posted Thursday at 01:34 PM Beautiful thunderbird. Great color choice and I real like that interior. 👍👍. One sharp looking car.
Rattlecan Dan Posted Thursday at 05:40 PM Posted Thursday at 05:40 PM Very nice paint and detailing. Great-looking build.
espo Posted Thursday at 05:56 PM Posted Thursday at 05:56 PM Beautiful paint color and finish show of the body lines. Realistic looking interior finishes and the engine as well. The chrome wires always look correct on this body style.
Bainford Posted Thursday at 07:12 PM Posted Thursday at 07:12 PM That's one fine looking T-Bird. I dig the colour, and kudos on some fine foil work. Nicely done.
Jim B Posted Thursday at 08:03 PM Posted Thursday at 08:03 PM Great looking Thunderbird. Very well done.
Falcon Ranchero Posted Thursday at 08:19 PM Posted Thursday at 08:19 PM Very nice bullet bird. Another one on my list to build.

Kit Basher Posted Friday at 11:00 AM Posted Friday at 11:00 AM That is a beautiful Bird! Very nicely done in every way.
baycolony Posted Friday at 02:07 PM Posted Friday at 02:07 PM Monsieur Joseph, You have done it again, sir! This is stunning and I agree with the method of not using a clear coat on these early models. It really gives it that "scale" look. It is also a more difficult option whilst risking burn through of the paint.
STU111 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Beautiful T-bird. Excellent attention to detail and all round sweet build. Top stuff. 👍🏻
ford fan Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago A massive thank you to all of you ! 😀 I'm glad that you like it ! Gil, you are right, a clear coat (especially the PU ones) would make it too shiny considering the year of the car. In order not to burn through of the paint, I started wiht a not too agressive sanding grit (3600 if I remember well).
