johnyrotten Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Finished this up tonight. This is the old Monogram Heavy Chevy build as a clean daily hot rod. Lowered, swapped the intake and carb, new wheel/tire combo and detailed up the interior with added seat trim and belts. I also added lenses to the lights in the front bumper. Createx pearl black paint and clear coat. This was a fun build of the first kit I ever built, went together with no big issues or problems other than the kit having a slight warp, no big deal. Thanks for checking this one out, feel free to comment. ๐๐ 12
Chuckyg1 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I'm liking this a lot. Beautiful paint and interior. Nice clean build 1
STU111 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Clean and not over the top, it really hits the spot. Lot of great details incorporated into that interior. Top stuff. ๐๐ป 1
DJMar Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Great color combo! That's a nice, simple build and looks killer. It's crazy to me that this kit first saw light of day 45 years ago.ย 1
NOBLNG Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Iโd call that a muscle car not a hot rod.๐ค That saidโฆgreat work all around!๐ The interior detailing looks particularly nice. 1

I put a real effort into the paint, and that interior.ย The level of detail I see elsewhere on the forum is a big inspiration for me, I see amazing work everywhere. I didn't want to clutter up things under the hood and chassis, I still feel it's a bit bare here and there. Trying to find that sweet spot between too much and not enough, without the resulting madness. Pretty proud of this one, considering it's my 3rd full build in thirty years and worlds nicer than anything I built as a kid.๐๐ Edited 8 hours ago by johnyrotten Thirty is spelled with two "t's". 2
espo Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Beautiful looking day 2 style. The contrasting interior goes well with the body color. Rally wheels always look right.ย 1
