chaves pah Posted Tuesday at 02:29 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:29 PM Hi, does anybody now JACK MODELLING, a 3D brand by Jason Hupin, who makes several wheels such as wire wheels and tires, and some other car items?
sidcharles Posted Tuesday at 02:36 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:36 PM now i do. looks like a lot of useful things https://www.ebay.com/str/jackmodelling thanks sid 1 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted Tuesday at 02:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:42 PM (edited) A few builders on this forum have used his parts. Prices seem downright cheap considering the apparent level of quality, and shipping's not bad either. I'm gonna have to try a set of wire wheels, mo debinately. Exotics_Builder Posted Tuesday at 02:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:45 PM I've gotten a few sets of wheels from him. Great person and good service. He is in Nantes France, so keep that in mind. If you have any questions, get in touch with him.
Bugatti Fan Posted Wednesday at 07:27 AM Posted Wednesday at 07:27 AM I have heard of Jack Models and the good quality of his products. Does he only sell through EBay ?

jaymcminn Posted Thursday at 11:11 PM Posted Thursday at 11:11 PM (edited) I haven't ordered from him since 2024 (as apolitical as I can make it) so I'm not sure how the process has changed. His wheels are excellent. Edited Thursday at 11:12 PM by jaymcminn 4
Mark W Posted Friday at 12:50 AM Posted Friday at 12:50 AM (edited) His stuff really looks good. I made an order through etsy, my money was returned because he doesn’t ship to the US. This was just last week. His ebay shop says he ships worldwide, but the language is in French. Edited Friday at 12:52 AM by Mark W Added info
Bugatti Fan Posted Friday at 07:34 AM Posted Friday at 07:34 AM Thanks for the further information guys.

A lot of these small vendors have stopped US ship temporarily due to duty collection process issues. eBay may do that, but Etsy might not. Best to email him on eBay see what he says. The last order I got from him was before the duty collection snafu. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and have gotten orders from him. 1
Pierre Rivard Posted Friday at 05:16 PM Posted Friday at 05:16 PM (edited) Jason makes great product. Some of us have worked with him on specific requests and he always wants to take it on. Excellent quality and just a few dollars for shipping to Canada. He made these wire wheels in 22 mm diameter just for this project Edited Friday at 05:18 PM by Pierre Rivard 2 1
1959scudetto Posted Friday at 06:22 PM Posted Friday at 06:22 PM (edited) As Pierre said: Jason is always willing to provide us with some special requests - here are some Abarth Campagnolo alloy wheels he did for me (models not built yet): Another request was the steel wheels for the Alfa Romeo 1900 die-cast which he is offering in his range of wheels : I have ordered at least 25 sets of different wheels from him - they are all of excellent quality. Ace-Garageguy Posted Friday at 07:46 PM Posted Friday at 07:46 PM (edited) According to the BBC, France only accounts for 1.8% of goods imported into the US, and the blanket tariff is 15%...which I'd very happily pay if that's what it takes to get wheels from this guy. Glad this topic came up, as I'd kinda forgotten how beautiful his stuff looks. I need vintage '30s-'40s-'50s race-car wires (like Pierre's, above), as well as seeing if he'll do a run of dragster front wires...plus sets of everything he lists as stock items. Time to try an eBay order for a start, I guess. Edited Friday at 07:48 PM by Ace-Garageguy

Lindberg kit, wright? did you order these wheels from his catalog or are they "taylor made" for you? and the tires, are it the kit tires? this kit is not at hand, it's near a bunch that need "old" 17" wire wheels... Problem is, when I found Jason last year, and after receiving my first order form him, I thought: AFTER MANY YEARS IN DESPAIR to get decent/proper wheels for my "billions of kits", NOW, I AM IN MODELLERS PARADISE! ... Well, after a few months in this Nirvana, contacting him in the last months HAS BEEN "THE" HELL! I was in a process of interact with him that was supposed to be good not only for me but also for him and for manny modellers arround... as he was offering the possibility to "taylor" special wheels, I suggested he could add it latter in his offers list, as he did with the MIURA Lamborghini wheels... and he also made me some 13"(?) Minilites with Dunlop Racings for a Gunze Healy Sprite, and also THESE ONE OF A KIND wheels used by the GT6 Triumph Spitfires in Le Mans 24 (in 1/25, for the poor old Lindberg kit that can become a good model after some months of hard labour), they are not yet in the list... but, in particular, specially from some 250 GTO wheels I got from him, I found that, combining the rear wheels/tires with some Rudge-Withworth fitting the front Dunlops, I could solve the problems for my 250 LMs, the Monogram 275/330Ps, and also the 275 GTB-C 1966 Filipinetti Le Mans car, or the Ecurie Francorchamps Long Nose yellow Le Mans 24 car, and... Well, the problem is, as at that time, connecting/contacting with him was getting very difficult, even if the Rudge-With are a 1mm narrower than the 250 GTO front tire and I was not able to ask him to make some wider wheels for me, I made a plan and simply ordred a few sets to mix Rear 250 GTOs wheels with front Dunlop tires/Rudge wheels for each 250 LM... and the remainning front GTO wheels whith some front 250 GTO wheels do fit the Italeri 250 SWB and the California... well, if everything just worked with him, with my "findings" he would be able to add a few more new and helpful Ferrari Wheels and Tires sets to his collection, but... the last four 250 GTO tires sets I ordered him never arrived... I has been refunded by eBay, but can not know if they reached him directely in fact... I can't reach him by eBay or by his mail... nothing...

I had no problem with him but my last order dates from May 2025. I am just preparing a new order that I wanted to send him next week. Last year I have made some proposals that he is also selling in his range of wheels (Ferari 275 GTB/4, Ferrari 412 P aka 330 P3/4, Dino 246 Campagnolo). We will see what happens...

Scudetto, When this 1900 Alfa appeared in 1/24 in a beige colour, and I found that there was a decal sheet for these Vª Panamericana cars, the hours I spent to find the correct brown colour(RAL 8008) of the #251 Alfa!... even contacted the Alfa Romeo Museum... so, the Alfa Romeo steel whells Jason offers is from your special order! follow what I wrote to Pierre Rivard... So, he did make the Fiat Abarth 1000 Corsa Wheels and tires... I ordered it also to him, 2 sets, that he told me he could make for me, but I never received any message from telling me they where ready...
chaves pah Posted 23 hours ago Author Posted 23 hours ago Scudetto, this is a message in eBay IN MARCH 25: "Jason, You did not send me the Rudge tires I asked! It Is Very Difficult to deal with you now... When we started our deals, I felt I could finally relay on your capacity to solve not only my problems, but sooo many others's... Ence the idea to me, as a modeller, to share with you OUR problems and needs... I can start a thread in Model Cars Mag about this WHEELS AND TIRES subject, if you think it is important for you to better understand what it is all about..." One or two months later, after asking him about the Abarth wheels, and not getting any answer from him, he mailed me, telling me there where some difficulties with contacting, but everything was ok... from then on... the last 4 Ferrari 250 GTO tires sets I ordered him where a part of a bigger order I want/(ed) to make, was intended to see if ,as he has told me in a previous message, there was a place in the ordering page where I could add some particular feature, as a bigger width or something other, that in fact I did not find, in order to overcome our contacting difficulties; from then on... Is He alive and kicking at all?
chaves pah Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago Scudetto, what decals did you use in the Panamericana Alfas? I have a decals set by Scale Designs, but the letterings bellow the BULL logo on the rear doors are all missing...

Here is a link to the Ferrari chat forum - page 30 on the Carrera Panamericana thread - you have to scroll down to the lower part of the page to find the answer (and on page 31): https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/carrera-panamericana-mexico.37433/page-30 Maybe you can't see the pictures here if you have not registered yourself. Tom Tanner had sent me the decals, and when I learned that he has a revised version (with additional decals) available, I ordered it also and got a second update for my first order, too. This included numbers in new colors and also the lettering below the Bull logo. The decals are of top quality, but colors and size is not always correct. BTW, I did a WIP here showing the decals and my paint versions:
chaves pah Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago Scudetto, it is fantastic... as this Alfa project was put aside for a few years for lack of wheels, I started looking for my images and all and, as I decided to look for more images in the net, I found your thread about the Vª Panamericana Alfa Romeos, so I will "move" to your tread about this project!... Here the issue is Jack Modelling...
peteski Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Are you guys saying that Jason (Jack Modeling proprietor) is not replying to your messages? What method of contact are you using? His Gmail address?
Matt Bacon Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago @peteski I exchanged a few messages with Jason in early August about getting some custom wheels designed and printed. We agreed on the reference and dimensions and his last message said he’d be in touch to sign off the designs and I could then pay for the wheels. I haven’t heard anything since then, and I’ve a had no reply to my later messages asking if there’s any update. I’m not trying to hurry him up (there’s plenty in the stash to build!) but I’ve been met with radio silence for the last couple of months…I’m starting to worry about him. best, M.
peteski Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Matt, I asked how people communicated with Jason, because there are more than one way to do so. Did you use his Gmail email address, or some other way (like a PM through the forum)? If you used his Gmail address with no response to me that would be worrisome as I think that is the most direct way to communicate.
