Harry P. Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Real or model? (This one would have been good for Auto ID Quiz, too!) The answer: MODEL!
JamesW Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 (edited) Well now Harry. Since you said it would've been good for the Auto I.D. quiz too, I gotta say REAL. Edited May 10, 2010 by grimreaper
Pete J. Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Model on this one. I'm going for one in a row. Harry got me last time. I wish I could decipher what the reflection in the wheel is. I'm saying model because of the ripples in the floor in front of the rear wheels. Looks like paper to me.
george 53 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 At work when they would use a new release for pictures, they would just lay down these BIG ol white sheets. Or canvas, whatever. But , could this NOT be the same idea?
Foxer Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 The answer FRIDAY! what year Friday IS it? and no fair .. wheel valve covers ...
dimaxion Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 (edited) I like this one of a kind . Did it win any of the races it was entered in ? Thanx .. Edited May 10, 2010 by dimaxion
Jim Gibbons Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Something about it says model to me. The fuel filler door (if that's what it is) seems a little thick for a 1:1 car. If it is a model, it's beautifully done. If I had to guess, I'd say it's an early Bugatti prototype or test mule.
Jon Cole Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 (edited) Todo lo que puedo decir es yo no sabe. Pensé que fijarÃa esto en un idioma extranjero porque me frustran. Translation- REAL Edited May 11, 2010 by Spyder

Modelmartin Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I say almost real because the car is a replica. It is a 1/1 model! Edit by HP: TMI!!!!
Joe Handley Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Model....have no clue what it is, but it's a model!
horsepower Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I think this one is a model, unless it's built with 1/4 inch plate.
sjordan2 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Something about the seat back and the overall shininess tells me it's a model. Plus, the radiator looks like it's been detailed with a wash.
george 53 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Patience, Grassopper. Think not that your impatience will,in itself, an answer bring! Only the Harry One can bring TRUE enlightenment.So.........Dadat da daDAT!!! HARRYYYYYYY Up an ATTEM Junior!!!! I got the last one right, howdi do this time? C'mon Daddy-O Inquiering minds wanna knowed!!!
Harry P. Posted May 14, 2010 Author Posted May 14, 2010 Final vote: 30 REAL, 25 MODEL. Which means I gotcha!!! It's a MODEL! Specifically, a 1/10 scale model of a 1923 Voisin Laboratoire C6, a strange-looking car that actually ran at LeMans that year. Pretty much all Voisins were weird cars, this one is no exception! Auto ID Quiz coming MONDAY!
