Flamin 59 Imperial

G'Day guys! You may have seen this one acting as the guinea pig for my flame video. It's Model Kings 59 Chrysler Imperial. A very simple kit as far as parts count goes, must've only used about 12 bits! Just the way I like it. The body has had a bunch of chrome, handles and badges removed and a bit of sink mark filling. Paint is Tamiya Spray lacquers run through the airbrush. Body is white, flames are a mix of a few shades of metallic blues, followed up with Tamiya pearl clear then a bucket of 2K clear. The roof panel fades from dark blue at the pillars to light blue in the centre (a bit subtle for the camera) Wheels are pegasus, brakes are from a dead rally car the pinstripes & numberplates I made myself, "suspension" was by Dremel. Anyway, enjoy & thanks for looking!

Very Nice!! Great looking paint job and flames. Is the Video posted in the how to section?? I would like to know see and know what you use to mask them. I have a project coming up that I want to flame and was thinking of using bare metal foil. Actually trying to copy a car out of a magazine.
