peter31a Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Man I'm torn! I want to say real but another part of me is saying model. Maybe I should say it's a real model...
SuperStockAndy Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 The front looks kind of toyish... but the rest looks real. Model?
Mr. Moparman Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I do not see any spark plug wires so..... MODEL!!!!!
george 53 Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Dang, Harry, Your GOOD! I gotta go with REAL on this one. HOPE I'm right. :D
txdieseldog Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Check the end joint on the steering linkage and the grease zerks on the door hinges. It's real. Barry
MikeMc Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) Never seen that body in a kit....Real Deal real AN fittings off the moon tank Edited April 26, 2011 by Stasch
sjordan2 Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) Hmm. Toughest one yet. Like Master Modeller, I don't see spark plug wires, and I would think that throttle linkage would be more visible. There's not a lot of differentiation in the chrome and other metal finishes – most of the stacks I see that are intended to look like chrome are shinier. Looks like there's a vertical seam up the side of the front tank, and the hoses look unnaturally crimped. I've seen front spoked wheels like these on the model aftermarket. But the vented windshield certainly looks real, as does the steering linkage, and the perforations in the axle and sun visor look perfect. The tire treads also look very real. Therefore, beats the heck out of me. Edited April 25, 2011 by sjordan2
pepperdrumstix Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I do see the spark plug wires but the front tires look like they have been sanded. I have some of those little tires that look like these. The front 12 spokes come in the AMT '56 Ford kit. The grease zerks in the front hinges could be the strait pin hinges. I think this is a model possibly of the Monogram 30 Ford coupe with body modifications. Model. Patrick M
Rob Z Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 All the matte silver and the look of the headlights has me saying it's a model...
trogdor Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I'm going with real. I do see wires and a whole lot of other clues that lead me to say it's the real deal.
horsepower Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I'm gonna go with Real,,MODEL, looks like a 1/8 scaler to me.
Joe Handley Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I'm going against my better judgment and say Model!
plasticbutcher Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I vote Real, BTW I had to go get my "other" glasses for this one Harry, well played Sir
Danno Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Mo-dell. If real, the headlights would point in the same direction and the front tires would not be irregularly scuffed.
lizzard Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 That my friends is a real car is my opinion. I say it is real by the rear tires. Same as on the full size Big T at Starbirds.
