my name is nobody Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 well, like my board name says, here is the Torino, loaded up on the trailer, headed to a car show that is a few miles away. I double my fuel mileage just by pulling it with the Superduty: here is my little bullitt mustang gt: way out here in the middle of nowhere, Montana!
plasticgas Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Around 2000 I got and old '68 Camero SS and did a Resto-Mod out of it. The original driveline was long gone, so what the heck, right? A 425hp small block will absolutely decimate street tires, but it was great for smoke shows! Then a couple of years ago I had a chance to pick up a bone stock, full driveline in tact, with protecto-plate to prove it, '70 Chevelle SS 396. To top it off it was a 4-speed, bench seat, radio delete car. An interesting toy to be sure! I had to sell the Camero to get the Chevelle, but it's all good, right? But times are tough. I sold the Chevelle to pay mounting bills and now I drive a '97 Taurus. Maybe someday soon I'll be able to get a REAL car again!
carguybradd Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Got a fleet of my own... Daily driver: 1991 Honda Civic. I picked this one up cheap with a blown motor and swapped in a JDM B16A VTEC motor, 5spd trans with LSD, and too many other mods to list here. I commute 70 miles a day round trip, and if I keep my foot out of it I get 36-39MPG. It drops to about 33MPG when I don't... 66 Chevy C10 short fleetside, currently undergoing a heart transplant. Was a 6 cyl/3-on-the-tree manual, will soon have a 350/700R4. My '65 VW that I've owned since '89. Converted it to 12v, lowered it, and added the ragtop myself. It currently has a dual-carbed 1641, but I'm going to open 'er up into an 1835 once the truck's back on the road (one thing at a time)... My first car and I still have it: 73 Plymouth Duster, bought in 1986. Originally a 318/904 car, I swapped in a 400HP 340/727 a few years back. Now that the mechanicals are sorted out the next step is to resore the original black & white bucket seat/console interior and repaint it in the original B5 metallic blue...someday... I won't bore you all with pics of my wife's minivan. Coming soon: '70 Challenger! It has a 318 for now, but there's a 440 lurking in my garage...
blazinNmorehead Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Here are my vehicles Here is all three of my wife and my vehicles. Thay are a 05' Frod Focus w/all options, a 96' Chevy Blazer 4x4 and a 03' Ford F-150 Super Crew. The blazer has 18in. rims, lowering blocks (2in.) in the the rear and a few other goodies The intereior is mild custom The Ford F-150 has been lowered 4in up front and 3in out back. It's olny other mods are clear corners and a dvd player for the rear passengers. The focus is pretty stock, but it stays really clean and has a lot of little details that are painted or polished to give it a real clean look

Robert81 Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 UPDATE: Got my Chally last weekend. She needs some work, but she's straight, original, and has very little rust (AND I got her for FREE! ): How the hell did you get a challenger for free??? This last summer I tried to buy a 68 Pontiac Beumont (Canadian version of the Chevelle) from one of the teachers from my old high school (I graduated in 2001). The guy wanted $4,800 for a car with a non-orignal 307/powerglide, needed almost every body panel replaced and the interiour was shot. The only thing good about the car was all the Beumont specific parts are intact or repairable. Needless to say I pasted on that old girl.

She's too ill to drive it anymore so she gave it to me since I'm the only gearhead in the family. Although I didn't pay anything for it, it's bittersweet given the situation.
Pontiac Ed Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 First, my daily driver is a Laser Red '02 Mustang GT 5 speed convertible with a black top. Sorry no picture. Next my toys... 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. 54k mile car from Montana. 389 tripower, AT and a 3.23 Safe-T-Track. Factory 2 tone, Caravan Gold & Yuma Beige. Its got a beautiful original interior. I bought this car at the POCI Nationals in 1996. The GP is a riot to drive and quicker than a lot of people would expect. 1968 Pontiac GTO. 37k mile car from Cleveland, OH. 400/350hp, close ratio 4 speed and a 3.90 Safe-T-Track. Original vinyl top and interior except for new carpet. No power steering or brakes. I bought this car in 2000 with a very bad paint job and had it painted the next winter. Finally 1970 Torino Cobra. Mostly original 51k mile car from Iowa pulled out of a 22 year slumber this spring. Factory 429SCJ, 4 speed and 4.30 Detroit Locker. Shaker hood, slats, 5 slot styled steel wheels, ribbon tach, PDB, but manual steering. I got this car from a relative who decided he'd never get a chance to restore this car and figured that my son & I might be able to get it done or at least back on the road. It had been under a cover in a garage and looks about the same as it did when he got it in 1981. Into the day light for the first time since 1985 After a wet rag wiping and removing the ugly non-original stripes...
VictorSmalls Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 From a classic GP to a new one. My current dd / track beater Old toy car
Semi Trailer Mechanic Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 What's goin' on... Here's what I drive nearly 95% of the time. Because of the high fuel prices I don't drive it much anymore. When I'm not in the sevrice truck I ride w/ my girlfrined in her 05 Dodge Stratous in the background of the first picture. In the background is my RAM
rick6343 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 2002 Ford SVT Focus Bone stock, except for the Hawk brake pads and snow tires in the winter. Looks good, Handles great, is (reasonably) fast in a straight line, is comfortable, has plenty of space for stuff, and gets mid-30s mpg on the highway. Just a fantastic car...
Custom Hearse Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 This is 2000 P-71 I bought at a used car lot this last summer.... It had 112,000 miles on it, and I got it for $2,200.00. Removing the decals was a chore!
