GeeBee Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Built pretty much box stock, apart from the chrome parts being de-chromed and airbrushed using Alclad, body was painted in BMC Iris blue,
sjordan2 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've seen a few builds of this kit and it has never been done better. Wow.
MrObsessive Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 What a neat little car! That looks terrific!
Sixties Sam Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Very clean build! Great color for the bugeye! Sam
Foxer Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I was watching it come together and all the work payed off! Nice job on not having to convert it to left-hand drive like all the ones I've seen.
W-409 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Nice job with it. It's impossible to say constructive criticism about it. Color choice is very good, and paintjob is nice. I like those re-chromed bumbers, you did very good job with them. This car is very small, in 1:1 scale too. Nice job.
GeeBee Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Thanks Guy's, for me this was a quick build, it took me 6 weeks, and it's the first Gunze Sangyo (Mr Hobby) kit I have ever built ...
Scale-Master Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 That came out really nice! It just looks "right". Clean work there!
kenlwest Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 WOW! I am now sold on de-chroming and alclad! Makes it all the more REAL!
Scott Colmer Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 That was my high school ride. I followed he WIP with great interest. You did an excellent job! Scott
Rob Z Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I really love this car in 1:1 and I think you have really done it some justice... Great work on a timeless classic...
bsoder Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 it's abugeye sprite!...Way cool, knew a guy in HS that had a red one..great build
robertw Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 A well done built of a simple but cool little kit. I wish that whole Gunze range of sports cars would come out again.
