Why? A sense of entitlement.

We see this all the time here, Lambo's perched on lawns, Ferrari's on fences, Maserati's in medians (upside down), Beemer's on berms.

That jugghead in SF just drove around cones, why?, he's special, that's why. Dumbazz, he's so special he needs his own telethon.

Reminds me of a joke I heard once.

What is the difference between a porcupine and a Porsche? A porcupine has its pricks on the outside. ;)

Change the name of the car to anything from BMW to an exotic and you can sum up things perfectly.

They're usually bought by second or third generation money (no clue how it was earned, plenty of ideas about how to spend it), or celebs/sports figures (who made too much too fast, and end up back at zero at some point). Rules only apply to working schmucks anyway...

If I was in charge of that, I would have left it up to the driver to figure out how to get his car out of there. And if he couldn't do it, I'd have grabbed the car with a crane and sent it off to the crusher as payment for him ruining the concrete job.

No question this person is an idiot and should pay for the restoration of the street and the cost of the rescue. I'll bet his auto insurance will go up also. This sort of thing happens more than you might realize. In the resent past in a "Upscale" area in Johnson County Kansas a new off ramp from a major highway was put down in the mid-day. During rush hour several cars went around the barricades and drove up the off ramp. Some made it out, but after an untold number made it thru a couple of SUVs got stuck. Yes it was a mess. The drivers were charged, and the road contractor or county was able to get some of the expenses back from the drivers and their insurance companies. Too quote the comedian Ron White, "You can't fix stupid".

Stuff like this happens a lot more often with common vehicles- this probably wouldn't even be a newsworthy story if the guy had been driving, say, a '97 Grand Prix. I'd say there is a much greater number of idiots driving Impalas, Accords, etc., than exotic cars.

I gotta say - this could happen to anyone. Anyone with questionable decision making skills.

There was a similar situation with a work truck being driven into wet concrete. Problem was - he just helped pour it!

Bone head moves happen. Not heeding the blocked off street and driving around those cones is just as dumb as someone texting and driving or making the decision to street race on a busy street.

It was just a really bad decision.

Oddly enough - I feel sorry for all of us that just wish we could own such a fine car. Is the outstanding engineering and execution of those exotics lost on those that can buy them without a second thought?

LOL Wayne im gonna use that line never heard it before , but its a dandy ........

Thank You Glenn !

I in no way want to detract from telethons or their importance to those special folk who truly need their benefits.

Yet this moron qualifies as special in his own unique way. I really think he may be related to my last wife, just sayin'.........................................

Judging by the ready-mix truck there and the work area it looks like this is your regular Portland cement concrete. Possibly a sidewalk, or a high-traffic intersection. Seeing as how the truck is still there its probably a recent pour. Depending on the specified slump for that particular job they have about 6-8 hours to get the car out of the mix and rinsed off before it cures.

Saw that this morning, live just over the bridge from this jerk. Such a typical northern california bay area jerk. And we have so many of them I now hate to say I'm from NorCal@!
