We all know, that "The Dukes of Hazzard" are always on the run with their General. But also we know, that the cops are the loosers - in the movies!

In other movies like "The Dukes" (for example Canonball, Bandit, BluesBrothers) we see - the same results.

Here i tested some new methodes of damaging and sure, i had the lust, to make a real Copcar after a hot ride - and Rosco loosed.

Enough of words - here we go

WOW!! Amazing work Dominik, makes me want to build another! The attention to detail is great! I love it! How did you get the rear glass to look that way?

 Great work!

I like the details that you included (shotgun, hat, shattered glass, busted turn signal with little bits of glass left in the opening...)

Couldn't help but smile when I saw this. I watched the Dukes on TV when I was a young 'un.

Thank you very much buddies for ALL comments!

I always have a smile on my face, if i see him in my shelf standing. The Diorama is just in work - to giv him the right scene.

I love it! How did you get the rear glass to look that way?

Sure, i will try it. I wrote it in german (its tooo difficult to write it down in your language for me) and took a translator - so be not hard to me, i hope you can understand, how i made it. It was also a first try for me - make a damaged car!

First, i will show you the tools i took:

CIMG120218_069.jpg

One quarter is 10mm a side.

As I made the rear window?

Take a Dremel and drill out the size of the hole. Hole to hole, then it is frayed out before. Using a flat head mill I have the strength of the clear part of the hole is thinned from the inside, then with a 0.3 mill head, he sweats the "frayed out, splintered."

Then diagonally with a coarse disc loop stackable washer crossed the (always in the same direction) at a shallow angle with no pressure just tumbled over it worked. Inside and outside. Then, vertical / horizontal, diagonal crossed again and so on, until I appealed to the result for parallel polishing and pretend the "shattered glass". Was a first attempt and the result has satisfied me.

Ifs had not worked would be an undamaged window came to the place. It took 1 1/2 hour to get this result i accept.

I have no pictures from the work in progress...that it is easier to understand. One closeup from the window:

@Jim: Same procedure - translator on the go for the marks on the sides:

The scars are carved with various files in the plastic (deeper, wider, narrower, "scratch").

- Then the edges are broken and the body primed. Thin layer on the sides, thicker paint layer from the decorative strip upwards and included roof.

- Body with 1000 wet sandpaper sanded

- Scratches scratched again

- Antique white finish. Back up from the moldings, one, two more layers, laterally sparsely

- Now comes a splash of color - this is the "heavier" part. I have now painted with Tamiya chrome and aluminum, the scratches until I liked the look (because I always build their own ideas / male).

- After a light dry paint over it with aluminum

- After drying the supernatant colors (increases) wet sanded. Veeeery piano.

- Body wet sanded to

- Decals on it and adapted to the scarring

- Clear Coat

Here two closeups. Left side:

and right side:

I hope it's a bit understandable? Any question - always ask ;)

Very convincing work on the model. It turned out fantastic.

It was difficult to understand the translator regarding the broken window glass. Maybe you could do a tutorial with photos of the step by step process so that we can see each step.

Excellent work! Very realistic!

The only thing that bugged me was the title.

I had to think about it a bit. I think you meant Interpretation rather then inspiration?

Can't wait to see more from you!

Thank you all for words, buddies.

A "step by step" about the broken Window will follow next days in the right section.

I think you meant Interpretation rather then inspiration?

...you are right Jason. It means "Interpretation" - how can i change the title?

Dominik, You did an excellent job on this. I especially like the broken rear window. It looks real.

BTW, you can change the title of the thread by hitting the edit button in your 1st post and then choose the 'Use Full Editor' option and you can change the title of the thread.
