realgone58 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Here's an Iridescent Green/Sage Green X-EL Johan promo that I detailed up a while back.
TooOld Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Very nice Alan . Those colors really look sharp ! Nice job with the BMF too .
Greg Pugh Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Whoa!! Now there's something you don't see every day! Nice job!!
Models by Bear Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Great work Looks like it just came from the showroom
Ramfins59 Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Great job Al. I love all those '50's cars. I've got a couple of Johan promos ('56 Olds & '56 Pontiac) that I think you just convinced me to work on... Thanks Al.
MichaelJ Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Classy and beautiful at the same time.... Michaelj...
kruleworld Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 wow, those old desoto don't get the attention they deserve.
charlie8575 Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Factory-finished or not, it looks nice with all the details picked out and a set of whitewalls. Nice cleanup on that, Al. Charlie Larkin
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 (edited) Pretty. I bought one of those a while back thinking of doing something like that, but I don't have the BMF skills like you. Maybe next year... Yours is a really beautiful model. Edited August 30, 2012 by Ace-Garageguy
Sixties Sam Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Great job on this DeSoto! It's nice to see one of a rare breed done well! Sam
realgone58 Posted August 30, 2012 Author Posted August 30, 2012 Thanks for the kind words!! I'd love to see Mobius do a DeSoto station wagon. They could use alot of the Chrysler kit for the basis.
CaptainAhab Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Now thats a cool build! Well done my friend
wisdonm Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Boy do these bring back memories. I swear that DeSoto is a twin of my grandfather's last car. Same colors. Nice work. I took my drivers test in a '60 Bonne sport coupe. Had to parallel park it and everything. White, with real twin spots, 389, glass packs, and the very same three-tone interior as above.
Grumpa Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Very, very nice Alan. Looks like it just rolled off of the showroom floor!
