I admit sometimes I wonder if I'm bidding against someone here... I usually bid so lowball I'm surprised when I win.

Got the car all apart (thankful it was Ambroid cement) and cleaned up the mold lines, removed the custom parts, and worked on aligning the front and rear bumpers - these usually have fit issues. Found stress lines in the windshield but I may have a spare.

I do not believe the 65 windshield fits FYI. I have a 61 or 62 that I got off the 'bay and was going to use the roof as a donor, but the 65 is wider.

Got these two today. one C9 and one old Ferrari 330 P4, 2nd of 1967 Le mans 24H.

the box art of 330 seems to be a limited box art back then that days and it looks really good.

Yep, it's for this old classic, certainly a grail project for me. Now that I went through the effort to gather the right stuff, Round 2 will probably re-release it!

Kevin...Yep that is a cool one for sure...it they re-issue it you will be able to build more of them...:)

Thanks to the fellas on this site, I was able to determine which other El Camino kits had the camper I was seeking, that's specifically why I bought the '65, to snatch the camper. Perhaps you have a similar situation, with the camper having been available in other kits?

I wish it was that easy Kevin...only kit the one I need came with far as I know of is the old AMT 63 Ford pickup kit.  Its a overhead style one but much older looking than the one you have...I have a thing for campers and camping trailers, etc. in scale to start with.  This one I need for one of my dads oldies I am trying to restore.

That's OK - I found a windshield from an incomplete '62 convertible I parted out (the one that gave its back half to the '61 vert).

I'm assuming it's the same camper that came with both the '59 and '65 El Camino? If it so, I can display it with either one? I'm wondering how well the camper butts up the contour of the 59's rear end?

The 65 camper fits the 64 too the fit on the 59 is a bit off but still gets the job done.  if anyone has the one from the Ford in the photo and would parts with it please PM me.

Indeed it is. AMT had some real nice box art back when.

Yea, AMT's box art was so good, they could have put dog poo in the box and still would have bought it. It fact, in a few cases I think that happened. ?

The camper in both the '59 and '65 kits, appear to be identical, yes. As to fit, I really don't recall, but I guess I'll find out. :)

I haven''t started the camper yet, as I really need/want to replace all of the crummy kit provided windows (they look like thick wax paper), and I'm not ready for all that right now.

Slow boat from China.  I had experienced the same slow boat.  That company is honest but very slow.

Its not the company, its the fact that is goes by boat is what makes it so slow

Picked this up at the flea market Sunday. Recognized Revell but not the toys part. Found a 1952 stamp on the bottom of the model. Very simple but a cool old model. Also in the box was a Testors glue tube with ten cents preprinted on it.

And yet another of my Christmas gifts from me to me, the AMT ’40 Willys. While I was placing order, I also threw the paint stand and Root Beer paint in the cart (for a '69 GTX I'm working on). I’ll probably part out the Willys, giving away the truck body, as I have no need for it.

I went Christmas shopping today, and since I was in the mood I gave myself a few presents.

Stopped at Michaels, twice taking advantage of their 50% off coupon picking up a Jeep Rubicon and a '68 Charger.

I also hit the LHS and treated myself to some paints, some sheeting to fab the airboxes for my Daytona Coupes and an extra needle for my airbrush.

The postman also thought I needed some more stuff, so he was kind enough to drop off some Studio 27 Martini decals for one of my 918's and a lovely box

of wheels from Plamoz, the Weissach Package set for the 918 and a set of Corvette Cup wheels (these things look amazing and I haven't even opened 'em up yet. Also, 9 days, door to door, HK to Canada. That's fast.

The eBay Man showed up yesterday afternoon with this one!  It's a Danbury Mint  1933 International truck in Budweiser colors for $32. It's missing all the stake bed parts and accessories. No box etc.  The front bumper is broken off and missing, and it looks like it took a nose dive off a shelf because the right front suspension was bent inward.  I've already fixed that with a bit of brute strength.

As there isn't and never will be a plastic model of a 1933 International truck, I was happy to get this.  It will be redone as a commercial truck of that era. Not really sure of what just yet.  I'll have to see what interesting photos I come across.
