And I also picked up a '70-1/2 Camaro. Hey, if Michaels is going to keep sending me 50% or 55% off coupons, I'm going to eventually buy all they have. Woo Hoo! The 20,000th reply.:D

As I've said before: Caught those cats napping! Low opening price, mine was the first and only bid -  no one sniped me this time:

AMT Craftsman '59 Galaxie with few issues; should clean up nicely. Maybe a mild custom, lowered, with tube grille, lake pipes and '60 Ford dog dishes on chrome reverses, or those Car Craft Dream Rod T-bird wires I've been casting?

Jo-Han's model of this bad boy:

Original issue, unbuilt. I do love those coachbuilt classics.

I got these yesterday during my 140 mile trip to Hobby Lobby, AC Moores and Micheal's. Looks like my closest Micheals isn't restocking the store anymore as it was almost empty of models and modeling supplies. And I think I have all the models I want that are currently in availible in the stores. 2.thumb.jpeg.d8aa74d9a30b59f391972af296e1f232.jpeg

You lucky dog! I have a 59 too, which I believe was an annual in that it was moulded in a creamy white styrene that matches the other ones I have from this period. I am considering turning it into a 4 door hardtop, as my uncle had one in Black, with the red interior. It will bookend well with my Revell Skyliner, that I am correcting the trunk lid on.

I guess that means you're redoing the hinges to remove the cutouts in the rear panel? Always wondered why Revell got that detail wrong.

I got these three today, boxes are beat up, but they’re all there and unassembled. I haven’t built any of these before so they’ll be new for me. I say all there but the ‘Vette is missing the red tail light lenses.

My daughter and boyfriend bought me this German space ship I was looking at getting. I was telling them about this cool kit I saw on Sunday and they ordered it right after I showed them the pic of it. Today I was at their house and the mailman dropped of a big box and they really surprised me when he threw it at me and said thanks for helping them out when they need it!!!

Attended The Cincinnati Auto Replicas (C.A.R.) show & swap meet today in suburban Cincy. Lots of good stuff in the swap meet, but I’m broke as usual.

picked up the following little unbuilt gem for $5.00? Revell reissue from 1976.

Having decided recently to build the cars that I've owned, I picked up a couple kits this week

Revell '85 Olds to make my '85 Brougham

MPC Squad Rod to represent my '78 Custom

AMT '95 Blazer to represent my '01. I just have to swap out the front end.

Now I just have to figure out how to make a '96 ext cab s10 and find a representation of my '10 Impala

Also for a good price I picked up the newest '53 Chevy, '66 Suburban, '41 Willys, the newest '69 Olds and a '75 Olds promo.

The '59 Galaxie arrived today and it looks very good - no glue on the glass and the custom grille bar popped off easily. Odd thing is that it has wide whitewalls that appear to be '61 vinyl promo tires; I thought all the Jr. Series snap kits had narrow whites. Has anyone seen any others with WWW tires?

Nice Tom. Love the Tweedy Pie model because of it's name.

I just checked the weekly sale at HobbyLinc.com.  They have the Tweedy Pie for $16.91.  Here are a few other kits somebody may be interested in:

AMT 1949 Ford Coupe "Gas Man" $16.89
MPC 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (the last re-issue, blue car on box) $13.92
MPC Super Drag Zinger $6.41
Phoenix Toys 1/24 Diorama Stuff: Garage Barrel, Pump, Pads, Stool, Gas Container, Battery $8.76

Some dude on eBay was selling off this absolutely massive(and I mean, like 50+) Ford kit pile, so I did a few bids on a handful(all in new condition minus the Camaro, which was untouched inside but the box was wrecked) cause I needed some kits from particular generations to draft accurate decal sheets from and ended up actually winning a couple. Plus some spare rarities that I desperately wanted for a while now. I had to individually buy these cause they were shipped via the eBay global shipping program so I think I literally doubled down on every kit(26-30$ shipping a pop). But man, those Malaise era goodies I just couldn't miss on, not to mention a Ford EXP from Revell, there was something about that thing that made me needing to own it.

Just picked these up today. Like I need another 58 Impala right? and the sprint car will be used for trading. The boxes are not the best but both are still sealed.

The MPC kits of that era are surprisingly nice to build.   They have good detail and go together rather well.
