What did that set you back ?

$40! When I was trying to find one after the dealer's service department told me "it needed to be replaced", I found nobody local carried one (which also fits the Avenger and Journey with the Pentastar V-6), but they could order one. $60 for the filter and all but one place also wanted another $12-$15 to have it shipped to their store! Summit had them for only $40 and another $10 for shipping, just never got around to ordering one. When talking to a buddy who's working on De-FUBARing a 5.0 GT Hatch, he told me he was planning on ordering stuff from Summit and would order one for me since his order was going to be big enough to get free shipping no matter what. Had him add it to his order, and the mountain of boxes showed up before he came to work yesterday...........apparently, that K&N was one of the smaller items he ordered :P

@Joe- Been using K&N's myself for years. Three of my last vehicles had them...'93 Grand Prix, '97 K1500, and '07 Sonata. Need to save some $ to get a K&N Cold Air Intake and filter for my 2013 Ram...395hp isn't enough. Love not having to worry about buying cruddy restrictive air filters ever again. Just wash them periodically and let dry while I wash my vehicle...re-oil, and put it back at the end.

Joe, if that is an oil type filter and if your car has a mass airflow sensor, you may be asking for trouble. There have been issues with the oil getting on sensor causing check engine light to come on.

Thanks, I've had one in my Jeep for around 100k miles, been nice to have in it just for the cost reasons alone.

That's not going to be a problem, Chrysler uses Speed-Density systems that use MAP sensors instead. We're all good there :D

Thanks Bill, you as well. Really like the rigs and trailers. That's a avenue I am itching to explore. I want a Mack so bad but they are few and far between.

It was for me, I think the one in my Jeep was around $45-$50 and is a similar in filtering surface area and I was able to easily find it. Then again, being a Cherokee, it can be a struggle not finding parts for it!

Wow! They still have the Trick Trikes! I wonder why Round 2 has no re-released them

Because they were done right at the tail end of the RC2 era and didn't sell very well (being sold to dealers as a 4-pack instead of open stock didn't help). Some distributors still have stock of them, if they haven't blown them out on clearance yet.

Greg, they are out there, but kind of pricey. the ones I bought were reasonable, every now and again you can find a deal. keep looking, you'll find one.

They had to be done that way because they are a single tool. So they get produced in even quantities. Model King was offered these first, but Dave turned it down because of this reason. Selling them as singles would have left a lot of an unpopular one on the shelves. Some dealers broke them up and you see singles on eBay.

Went to an estate sale in Park Ridge this morning hoping to score some Motorifics:

1.jpg

Got there on time but there was a line out the door already and had to wait half an hour in 10° weather to get in. By that time the rest of the locusts had descended to the basement, and almost all the toys you see below were gone or spoken for, except...

Got it! Only paid a buck for it and the model railroad building cutout building book (to scan for patterns):

P.S. And it turns out all the Motorifics they had were Mini-Motorifics, which I don't collect anyway.

Got this in the mail last week and today found the time to mock it up, with another one I cobbled together, from two other kits in the stash...(Mpc '79/'80 Dodge uteline "firefighter" and a mpc/ertl '78 Monster truck)
