I remember when you weren't anybody if you didn't have a Roger DeCoster bicycle. Guess that's why I was a nobody in school. But man, did I try to convince my parents to buy me one. Oh well, somehow I lived without one....My childhood was sooo rough (he says sarcastically).

Nice kit, BTW.

I also got these magazines/comics. Used to buy them years ago. Found them in a thrift/collectable store. At 3 bucks a pop I had to buy them.

Wow! A blast from the past. I remember having that issue with the backwards Barracuda on it! I used to buy every issue when I was a kid. I practiced drawing cars from the line drawings of the cartoons.

Got yesterday. Bought the paint because Harry and a few other guys seem to have good luck with it so I thought I would give it a try.

The only complaint I have about Rustoleum is the dang spray nozzles are garbage ! Haven't tried these Ultra Cover paints yet , please let us know how they work for you . Also those magazines really bring back memories of buying them back in the 60's and learning to draw cars from them !

Since I'm here , I got this kit on the bay a couple of weeks ago for less than a new kit at my LHS ! Missing the tires but otherwise complete .

Now I can build the '82 sitting in my garage ! :D

Well, my first test with that paint was not pretty. Those nozzles throw a lot of paint very quick. I ruined the hood on the 56 Ford I'm building but that's an easy fix. I should have know better than to shoot a kit part.

I have been using some rustoleum normal covrage and I like it. I don't think I want any part of the double coverage. if the pant is thick and you have a good grip rustoleum and krylon will leave a finger print or prints no matter how long it dries....

Got a replacement hood for my '64 Coupe deVille today - some Testors paint remover cleaned it up perfectly. One of these days I'm going to repaint it gray with a black top and interior and add Illinois plates to match the car from Cooley High.

If you get the "regular" Rustoleum, it doesn't go on so thick. That Porsche cabrio I posted last week was sprayed with it. Now it still comes out thicker than say Duplicolor, but once you get used to it, it isn't bad. Takes about 5 hours to dry, but forms a heck of a shine.

Thanks for the tip. Perhaps I bought the wrong formula. I ain't lovin' this stuff so far.

I think the 2x is similar to Krylon paint and primer in one. You couldn't spray a light coat of that stuff for love nor money. I have an almost full can of that in yellow that's going in the trash
