The eBay Man showed up yesterday afternoon with this one!  It's a Danbury Mint  1933 International truck in Budweiser colors for $32. It's missing all the stake bed parts and accessories. No box etc.  The front bumper is broken off and missing, and it looks like it took a nose dive off a shelf because the right front suspension was bent inward.  I've already fixed that with a bit of brute strength.

As there isn't and never will be a plastic model of a 1933 International truck, I was happy to get this.  It will be redone as a commercial truck of that era. Not really sure of what just yet.  I'll have to see what interesting photos I come across.

Farm  truck gets  my vote Tom. Nice score on this. Just put Geiger Farms over the Budweiser door graphics and leave the rest of the pinstripes on the truck. That is how the farmers around here did it second hand trucks. Only spend what you had to on your truck.

No pics yet (I'm pretty beat, was a long day). Picked up a Revell Datsun 240Z BRE kit,'57 Ford Del Rio Wagon kit,and all the way from Japan, the mail delivered an Aoshima Datsun 720 mini-truck :)

I picked up the Dan Fink "Speedwagon" today. I looked it over and was surprised by how good it seems to be. Anybody tell me what you know about this kit?

Based on Dan Fink's show rod and derived from the awesome Revell '32 Ford kit tooling

Thought I had sold these when I had a bit of a clear out earlier in the year, some times I regret selling some of the models, so in the future I don't think i will, anyway Bought them, and guess what ? I didn't sell them to start with, oh well, you can never have too many models to build, right ??

A model has to be waaay out of my building area, or I have half a dozen of the kit, before I'll sell anything.  A few years ago I started a pile of kits to sell. Everytime I walked past it, I'd take another kit off the pile and put it back in the stash.

That looks to me like the type of paint that should strip easily.

Looks nice except for the broken windshield post.

I have a pretty nice example of the '60 hardtop to build someday, but after building the convertible a while back, I'm kind of '60 Merc'd out! :P

Nice score Christian!

Thar's awesome Tom. I have seen the boxes on ebay for sale but not the truck or the stake sides...

Santa brought me these. Both of those kits seem to be great quality so I'm interested in seeing what can I do with them. The '40 Ford will be built as an Early '60s style Hot Rod and that '57 Chevy Funny Car will be built pretty much OOB except for added detailing of course. Only problem with that kit is that my copy iss missing a rear bumper... I think I will modify one stock '57 Bel Air bumper from AMT kit to fit to that FC body.

Exactly what you'd expect from a €65.00 kit:

I really want to get one of these, but this is very discouraging and I'm holding off until they fix their packaging problem. If they don't address this, I don't buy.

I went Christmas shopping today, and since I was in the mood I gave myself a few presents.

Stopped at Michaels, twice taking advantage of their 50% off coupon picking up a Jeep Rubicon and a '68 Charger.

I also hit the LHS and treated myself to some paints, some sheeting to fab the airboxes for my Daytona Coupes and an extra needle for my airbrush.

The postman also thought I needed some more stuff, so he was kind enough to drop off some Studio 27 Martini decals for one of my 918's and a lovely box

of wheels from Plamoz, the Weissach Package set for the 918 and a set of Corvette Cup wheels (these things look amazing and I haven't even opened 'em up yet. Also, 9 days, door to door, HK to Canada. That's fast.

Where you got that "silver liquid" labeled paint?

I see 77 Euros wasted. For someone, who isn't rich, that's not a laughing matter.

To say I'm rather p/()3) off is an understatement of downright British proportions.

Consdering the Japanese companies figured out how to "save" bodies with proper packing over 30 years ago...

A model kit like that should have a separate, reinforced area in the box for the body. Especially at that price. I have lots of less expensive models that have the bodies in a sealed, corrugated box INSIDE the main box.
