OK, new purchase from Hobby Lobby today, a repayment to me for a favor done for a friend. I've always liked the look of the El Camino, so this is a terrific addition for me.

Finally got a 2mm Molotow Chrome pen.  :)  I'll try it out in a little bit.

I've heard they're quite excellent, but haven't grabbed one yet.

I'm amazed at how reflective the chrome is from it.   I highly recommend one.  :)

Hobby Lobby even sells them now, so it's only a matter of time for me.

I got the 61 Pontiac Catalina NASCAR kit that I preordered, it arrived and was delivered by the post office, on SUNDAY! Very strange! Now, if I could get the tires that were mailed last week and are touring all the wrong post offices in the city, I'd be mighty happy:unsure:

Well, since Photobucket isn't working, I will just have to use pics of the web to show what I got yesterday at the Kit Collector Show in Garden Grove, CA

With the HL 40% off coupon #1 & # 2 cost $7.69 each out the door.

I know, and I love Hobby Lobby for that, amongst other reasons. They'll be getting business from me from now on, that's for sure.

lol, I had to try!

I know, I would've as well!

Yeah, I was pretty surprised to have found it in a pile of clear out kits. The guy wanted more for a current MPC Van re issue than for the older kits! And thus, I bought the older kits!!

Picked up the AMT '67 Chevelle Pro Street model. Was at HL, really wanted to buy something but nothing was screaming "buy me". Then I was looking at this kit and thought that even though it is a 67 and not perfect, the chassis will go under my MPC '70 Pontiac GTO that I have been hanging onto for 15 or more years.

For those not into Chevelles/GTOs/Lemans/Cutlasses/etc, they are all based on the same chassis, depending on the years. I think it is 65-67(might be 64) and 68-72. There are enough differences between the two sets of years that a purist would be screaming, but this is just a model and it will be good enough for me.

I had a real 70 GTO back in the mid 80's and always wanted to Pro Street it but never had enough money to even paint the poor car, barely kept it on the road. I could never decide on how to build the kit, stock or as the beater my real GTO was. Today it dawned on me it should be built the way I wanted to build the real one but never could.

I also bought a 2mm Molotow chrome pen. Hope I can make it work as well as the others have.

I had another order from Model Builders Warehouse arrive today. Their usual exemplary service sets the standard for me when it comes to judging other mail order companies now. Randy ships the day I place an order and communicates everything which is something a lot of other internet based businesses could learn from.

Jog your memory for the velocity stacks Randy and get the them in stock. Thanks and Cheers.

Ok, I just had to post this here, yesterday this resin Dodge cab came in the mail from Ron Smith(oldr-n-drt). He advertised it as a W300 crewcab. In Dodge terms a W-series is a 4x4 and a D-series is a 2wd. If I'm not much mistaken the front fenders and sheetmetal is the same on a 300, 400 and 500 so depending on what frame, suspension and wheels you use you can call it whatever you want between a D or W 300, 400 or 500.
Here I have played around a little bit with the frame and tires from the excellent Emhar Bedford O-series truck and resin rims from Missing Link (and some multi-tack and doublesided tape) to make a D400 .
It sure looks cool!
