Brianl Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Finally finished this one & pretty happy with the results. Would look good on the track I think. Roof is from an old Toyota 2000 kit. For those who followed the build in the Workbench I would really recommend using the Viper roof as I couldn't get the side & rear screens as good as I would have liked. Thanks for looking Brian 1
cobraman Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Beautiful ! That is far away a better looking car than a stocker. Should have built like this from the get go.
Phildaupho Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 That looks fantastic!! It looks as contemporary as the C6R and Viper GTS currently racing in the ALMS. Very well done.
Brianl Posted July 13, 2013 Author Posted July 13, 2013 Thanks for the kind words, particularly from the Shelby fans (always touchy playing with an icon) Lee, paint is Tamiya Racing Blue & Pure White. Wheels are Aoshima with bigger section rear tyres from the scrap box. The rest of the changes were scratch or scrap. Learnt heaps doing this one. Brian
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Knockout design and execution. Sure wish I'd thought of this. Just beautiful.
Jeremy Jon Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Awesome to see that completed, it looks great Brian!
Scuderia Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 The stock series 1 looks a lil goofy. But with a hardtop and some racing bits this thing is pure sex. I love this build, just clean and aggresive too. Love it.
BigBad Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 (edited) Whoa! I bet Ol' Shelby didn't think of this one (but then again, he probably did...)! Very very nice! Edited July 14, 2013 by BigBad
jeffs396 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Looks INCREDIBLE Brian! I followed along on the build, glad you got 'er done
