nutboltu Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Where I'm from (Bangladesh), plastic kits aren't in the market. No one builds them. Bit then, I get hold of a few now and then sent by my brother in Canada. And then I make do with whatever tools I have. This is Revell kit, really high ground clearance. Came used, with messed up chrome on bumper. So I lowered it, widened the track, smoothed some of the trim, added a chin spoiler. Sprayed with a can that said 'Mazda Green'...sure, why not. Still undecided on the mirrors and handles.
Maindrian Pace Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Looks really terrific, your improvised tools are doing the job. I like the color too. -MJS

Guest Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Looks good, ignition wires are a bit overscale, but nice otherwise.
JDGREEN Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I think it looks very good, excellent color choice by the way!!
TooOld Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 For just "making do" you are doing a mighty fine job . . . it looks great ! Very clean and nicely detailed . Great job !
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 VERY nice job, especially considering you don't have access to all the things we take for granted over here. Welcome to the forum, too.
vintagedragfan Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 looks like you caught on to this whole model building thing very well, nice job!
my80malibu Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Very Impressive work on this one, Thanks for showing it.
Miatatom Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Excellent job! I love the color and the stance is perfect.
PappyD340 Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 Ronny I think you did a SUPERB job and I like the color choice also, very nice!!
beeRS Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 That looks really good Ronny. I love the colour and the stance is just right. Sometimes the chrome in the kit can make or break the use of bumpers and often I have to colour co-ordinate the bumpers because the kit chrome is not up to scratch. In this case you have made it looks great! I have stayed in Dhaka (Dhanmondi area) on occasions and you should be able to receive deliveries of most model stuff there. Orders from USA and Japan should be able to make their way to you. Keep up the good modelling Ronny!
Gluhead Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I really like that green. Restomod is a good way to take care of otherwise annoying problems. lol. In this case it worked out pretty well. Nice job.
