Just got the latest issue of Model Cars mag, and was happy to see, on page 9, we can now get a '73 AMC Hornet Sportabout wagon! Couple of b & w pics, but it looks pretty good. Thanks to Gregg for sticking that in there, I'm gonna order one!

Amen! I've always liked the Sportabout since the days when they were new and my buddy worked at the AMC dealer. He did dealer prep and occasionally I'd get to drive some of the cars. When I started out in real estate I almost bought a used one, but I wasn't too keen on the dark green color. While I thought about it, my old company boss gave me a '73 Buick Electra 225 4 door hardtop,

I will definitely need one of those in resin!

Had a buddy who had one with a 301 6 cylinder with an automatic. That little rascal could REALY HAUL! There was a company years ago, Clifford Engineering that used to make hop up parts for 6's. Id'a been nice if Ron had been able ta cast a 6 cylinder with it. One of my favorite AMC's.

I think that six is the same one that's in the Pacer kit. And didn't someone say the Pacer was coming back?

I send an email to RMR Ron and he has it stock so I ordered one kit. It is '73 and I like to buit '71 so I have to combine Missing Link '71 hornet and this. Some work to be expected :D

Luckily I have '71 Sportabout in the garage for reference.

Can't wait to see the progress Kari!!!! Please post photos as you go.

I'd like to see someone come out with the 73 through 77 Hornet.

Yes, please keep us posted. That's exactly what I was thinking of doing.

Hi all, I know this is an old post, but figured I would post some pics anyway, in cas people are still looking. (Like me) I finished the model about a year ago. It's based on an actual car I owned back in the day.

Ha! Thanks! I know I posted it under a different topic, as well, but I figured I would try to breathe some new life into these poor old AMC forums (especially since I am so late to the party). Thanks again for looking!

LOL, I hear ya Rob. AMC's were a kool breed all their own..... Still have my 77 Hornet AMX that needs some attention..... Factory 304 4 spd car that now has a 360 in it, not running....
