The weather channel has decided to improve their website. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the information I want. Before it was really quick. Now they've decided to add a bunch of graphics. Someone never heard of if it ain't broke down fix it. At least put in an option to view it the old way.

I live in a town that has a large Latino population (almost 48/48 with that last 4% being every one else) and when I went to check their web site on my phone, it automatically came up with the mobile device web site, so I put in my Zip Code, and all of the info came up in Spanish without prompting the site to do so?!

I was in San Juan a few weeks ago. I went into Walgreens to get a few things and wound up asking a very nice young woman about which brand of Puerto Rican coffee to buy to bring home. Then I got some candy and stuff to eat on the plane ride.

I was on line right behind her, and the clerk spoke to her in Spanish. The clerk took one look at me and said "hello" and addressed me in English. Man, do I look that American? :) Spur of the moment, I acted like I didn't understand her and spoke to her in German. So she did her best to help me and I finished the transaction in German. I guess that taught her not to prejudge! Ha! The woman I was speaking to earlier walked out the same time as me and we both started laughing. She thought it was pretty funny.

We've got some moron who thinks he's Ken Block driving his pickup around the neighborhood sideways this AM.

Jeez. Are some people REALLY stupid enough to think to themselves "I saw a man on youtube driving wild so I'll go out and do that in a residential neighborhood with kids playing, pets running around and people out walking" ?

Yup. Moron.

Yup. Moron.

Anyone who thinks that film was made on a whim, without copious preparation, practice, safety considerations and VIDEO EDITING, is simply not firing on all cylinders, and probably should not be allowed anywhere near any form of motorized transportation. Do they not see the police cars closing off the areas Block was driving on?

Here's an article that shows just how much work and preparation went into that film shoot.

Never s shortage of stupidity. If we could harness it we have a never ending supply of energy. Sad thing is morons always manage to take somebody out that just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time.

Some people say, "Stupidity should hurt." Well, stupidity does hurt, but unfortunately it usually hurts everybody but the person being stupid.

Stupidity does make life more difficult. I know a guy who spends his life going from disaster to disaster because he's stupid and makes the same blunders over and over. You can talk to him until you're blue in the face and he still goes ahead and puts himself into another Ralph Cramden situation.

I was just about ready to put the head back on the PT Cruiser from hell. Doing a final clean up of the cylinder bores, and noticed some vertical scoring of the bores on # 2 and 3. Looks like she may have stuck rings...or at least may have had at one time. Not too surprising, as it's been overheated a lot by a woman driver who doesn't seem able to grasp the concept that the little temperature gauge being pegged means STOP NOW, not "drive to the next convenient place".

Greedy retailers and stupid people. Just got the flyers for black thursday and friday sales. Irks me that retailers like walmart start the sales at 6 pm on thanksgiving. Feel sorry for the employees that have to work that chaos. No sympathy for the greedy idiots that go for the so called sales. On the positive side there is a store called tractor supply that is doing their sale on wed and closed on thursday.

Yeah, they can take the whole idiotic "black Friday" concept and flush it. There's no WAY I'd get in that milling pushing glazed-eyed grappling greedy hoarding horde just to buy gifts supposedly to celebrate...''Peace on Earth, Good Will Toward Men".

While we're flushing things, throw the terminally stupid "internet of everything" in there too. Who comes up with this tard stuff, and thinks it's good marketing to repeat it constantly over and over and over and over and over?... It's as pathetically overdone mindlessly driven-into-the-ground...already...as "awesome".

A Space Shuttle launch was actually "awesome". Not a lot of other stuff really is, now is it?

I too think it's sad that places like Walmart will be open on Thanksgiving. The greedy s.o.b.s and materialistic shoppers just can't give it a rest for 24 hours. My extended family several years ago decided we had enough of exchanging Christmas gifts among the adults. We have or will get whatever we need on our own. Now we get together and enjoy each other's company instead. And it's been great. A few gifts get passed around, mainly to the kids. So we're not total Scrooges.

I agree that the so called "Black Friday" is a bit much, however to each their own. Those opposing it can just opt not to partake in such madness. Others are in the "hunt" for great deals and markdowns on gifts. We must always remember that thousands, if not millions of dollars are spent for gifts for other people that they probably don't even want. And a lot of those gifts are bought by people who really don't have the kind of money these people are spending. Yes, they are going into debt when shopping for Christmas presents. A lot of people have lost the whole meaning of what Christmas really is.

Last year at the local Walmart Super Center 5 people was arrested for fighting and 1 was arrested for using pepper spay over discounted televisions. With that going on it makes more sense to pay full price..

Having to get up early tomorrow morning, as someone's coming over to pick up some furniture that I need to get rid of. I didn't know that "early wakeups" were part of my retirement plan.

Actually it was Monday. Went to leave to go pick up my wife from work, she can't drive due to a boot on her right foot from foot surgery . Anyway, got in my faithful F 150 Supercrew that I bought new at the end of 2001 and she would not start. Turned over great but would not fire. Hopped in the wives car to go get her. Tried truck again when I got home and still no luck. Next day ( Tuesday ) after I got back from driving her I tried the truck again and it fired right up. Took it and dropped it off where I get my work done. Turns out the fuel pump was not working properly. New fuel pump and I had them do the fuel filter also. I can pick it up today. Not really too irked because these things happen and the truck is getting older so ya have to expect this kind of stuff will happen.
