You don't need a picture on yours?

Nope, Mom hasn't been able to physically drive for a few years now and hasn't been able to get in their van at all for the last year (hopefully the latter part is now different), but has a license..........as well as another recent via mail renewal notice for it...........I think it's been over a decade since she had the last picture taken!

Pictures are required on MN licenses.

This morning was the annual dog skunking. I guess it takes then one year to forget. At least j have the supplies on hand. Still stinks. Got to work after a second shower and they still smelled it. Went home and scrubbed the dogs and myself with the de-stink mix - again. Went back to work only to have them call me Pepe Lepew. Fun day.

At one point New Jersey didn't. They had two types, and only people under 21 had a photo. The standard license was done on the same state paper as the vehicle registration, not laminated and didn't look all that official. I went to Colorado on business and had a car rental reservation through Hertz, the vendor my company used. They wouldn't rent me a car, telling me my license was fake! They had a book that had a photo of every state's license and for NJ, the book showed the photo license that was only for those under 21.

I went to another rental counter in the airport and had no problem renting a car! Story not over... when I filed my expense report, my company refused to pay for my rental car.... not our vendor! It took me months to clear that one up and get paid!

MCM forum trolls.

So you are "irked" by your own behavior? You are the only "troll" I've seen on here today.

Calling people names and attempting to insult people who didn't even address you is what YOU have been doing.

WHY are YOU being the very thing YOU complain about?

If you can't tolerate views other than those you have or share, why bother even reading?

Waiting, that's what irks me almost every day. I've been waiting for something for over a month now, and I just keep on waiting. It's really beginning to tax me, that's for certain.

And then YOU came along. You've gotten in your licks lately Mike. Calling the kettle black!

I have never called anyone names or mocked thier choosen names Tom...how about you?

I was called a troll by this fellow because I wrote "No thank you" on a thread asking for two kits to be produced that I had no interest in. Not really a "troll" style response to rational folks.

People are more than welcome to ignore or disagree with me...how about you Tom?

You seem to be upset by things that have nothing to do with you...in my business we call that "boundary" issues, among other things..

I hope you get over that challenge soon...you'll be happier.

did the new moderator position get filled?

seems like everyone got cranky as soon as schools let out and the weather got nice. not just here, but other forums and in real life.

somewhere i read a signature line to the effect "we have everything and we're all still miserable". appears to be the case everywhere i turn.

is no one happy? not a barrage of defensive "i'm really happy" responses needed. the underlying tone belies them all.

carry on.

well, they ARE staying with the theme of this thread...they DO seem to be "irked", and the title of the thread doesn't say they can't be irked at each other. ;)

I realized a while ago that most of the bickering on this forum is a waste of my time and electrons (which is why I don't do Faceborg, what a time sucker), and that is why I will try to restrict my responses to what pertains to the thread.

Without mentioning names, I suggest to anyone that decides to read this whole post to consider doing the same.

Notice that I said I will TRY, that doesn't mean I can't be baited...that means it will be harder to bait me. :)

I'm a little irked that my summer job is going to require me to work on the 4th of July! I'm surprised an auto parts store would even be open on the 4th of July. I don't agree with it. But, I'll do it.

People are off from work on the holiday and some of them will be needing (or wanting) to work on their cars. Sorry for ya bro! :(

Scott, over the years I have worked on EVERY holiday there is. Just "suck it up" and do it, or quit. Many other people have to work on the 4th of July as well, as this country just doesn't stop because it's a holiday.

The $200 short springs I bought to drop the front of the '47 Caddy (G-body front frame clip) were supposed to drop the car an additional 1" over the 2" I got with the Belltech spindles.

Well...no. They dropped it another 2.5". Looked really really good, but not what the client wants.

Had to take 'em back out and cut the springs that were in it. Took one full coil off, and lost almost 1.5", though I thought I'd only get about 1".

Sooooo...we'll see what she looks like after final buildup. I have a feeling I'll be at least running a 1/2" spacer to get the right ride height.

Oh well. If swapping springs once is fun, doling it 3 or 4 times must be great, right? B)

Bought a motor and servo for the scale R/C K5 Blazer I started building, had it on the counter at work to bring home when we closed.........realized when I got to car, I realized they were still on the counter.......didn't feel like resetting the alarm on the store to go in get them and since I work tomorrow anyway, I figured I'd just bring them home tomorrow night........maybe I'll put them in the trunk then I take my lunch!

Man those skunks are bad. When my wife was pregnant one was by the back door and left thier smell and it was just enough to make her sick so i did kill several in my yard over the next 2 years. You can tell if their around by seeing fresh mowed grass sticking up and finding small holes. i hate to kill anything but it was like every night you could smell them if you went out at night...

Today as in it's 2:38am local time...

So I was out taking my dog for her last walk of the evening a couple hours ago (about 12:15am),and I noticed that the young children of 1 of our neighbors was running around the neighborhood alone in the dark. The oldest (Jade) is only about 8 or 9 (she plays and rides bikes in the neighborhood with my son),and her little brother is barely old enough to walk, and there was another girl from down the street with them spending the night (they were just walking around, taking turns carrying the baby). When they saw me (knowing who I am,and knowing our dog well) they ran up to me and asked if I knew where their mommy was (I didn't),told me "she hasn't been home in over 2 hours, and when she left, she'd been drinking and everything for hours...". So I let her use my cell and her momma picked up the 3rd time she tried calling (probably wondering who's # that was on her caller ID),and Jade begged her to come home, and (despite calling the woman "momma") had to explain who she was.

So I told them "go back inside your house, don't cook anything, don't get in the bath or shower, don't do anything in the kitchen with knives or ANYthing you know to be dangerous, keep close eye on Jason (the baby) and just turn on the tv on Cartoon Network, sit there and watch cartoons until either they get home or you fall alseep. I will sit out on my porch (where I can clearly see their house,it's just over a stone's throw away from mine) until your mommy or daddy (he's at work this time of night I think) come home, even if it takes all night. I will make sure no one can come in or bother you,and you can look out your window as often as you like to see that I'm still there watching over you. I will keep trying to call your mom too. If there's anything that goes wrong inside or if you guys get scared, you can come over there (my house) and I will wake up my son and wife".

It wasn't but about 10 minutes later that their momma's raggety old Impala came hauling butt up the street (speed limit is 10MPH here, and it's strictly enforced with LOTS of kids playing every day,and people walking their pets, like I was doing, all hours of the night),sounding like all 1,500 watts were pumping through her cracked 15" subwoofers, got out and staggered into the house (Jade looked over and waved really big as she shut the door behind her drunk mamma, and I came back inside).

Yes....I'm very (VERY) irked right now! WHAT in the WORLD gets into people?!?!? Those kids deserve better :(
