GoatGuy Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 John, it looks GREAT. You have done another spectacular job. You have never shown us a boring build.
lanesteele240 Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 (edited) I wish. It was an Aprils fools joke. ????????? I would buy one of each as quick as they went on the market. Hint hint hint Edited April 1, 2014 by lanesteele240
Mooneyzs Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Johnny Boy... I just love your work Brother. Man this thing is looking killer. I love every little detail you have added to this and the addition to the cart. Just awesome man. I am stoked to see this in person in a bout a week and half... I can't wait for you and Big Bird to get here
Jim3 Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Pretty awesome build with a lot of nice details ...Body cart is a nice touch too !
John Teresi Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Hello…….thank you all very much for the kind comments……..I really do appreciate them ………I got the last coat of clear on the body yesterday…….and while it is drying ……I decided to take a couple of pics of the chassis with a Salt Flats back ground……..I think it looks pretty good????……..thanks for looking.
bobthehobbyguy Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Great job. Looks great. Looks real with the backround.
Red rocket 10 Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I'm blown away , what an outstanding accomplishment ! Beautiful job ......... Leonard
Art Laski Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Holy smokes! I shouldn't be surprised by now, but it turned out incredible. The background is sweet, John!
Harry P. Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Turned out great! If the "salt" was a little more in scale, you'd be hard pressed to tell that this isn't a real car. Pretty impressive work.
W-409 Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Really amazing work, John! What I really like on your builds is of course the amount of scratchbuilt or modified stuff, but also your painting skills to get different kind of metal-looking finishes is stunning. Also your weathering is top notch. The parts don't look too greasy, but they are not shining like new parts, either. I wish I could do that ! I can't wait to see more.
GoatGuy Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Another outstanding job. It looks awesome John. I'm looking forward to the next project.
John Teresi Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) Hello…….thank you all very much for the kind comments…….I really do appreciate them …….I got the last coat of clear on the body……..the parachute is attached……..I still need to add the Canopy and some header body flanges………I dug up an old Jeb Allen figure and painted him up as Don Garlits……..I also painted a helmet but,it is drying…….I made a fire mask and used a famous persons face behind the mask…….it is not Don Garlits………but, can anyone figure out who it is?????????……If you can guess I will send you a autographed picture from Don Garlits……..give it a try…….bet you can`t guess………thanks for looking. crazyjim Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 After you finish the streamliner, John, you need to think about bringing down to FLA and presenting it to Big Daddy. You could visit Dad while you're here too.
