kilrathy10 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Well, Boys....I finally got this thing done....Worked all day, and got it knocked out....These pics are the best I can do for today, but this weekend looks to be better weather....Definitely, gonna have to get some outside pics of this thing, then.... This one worked well without having to do anything to the frame, with the exception of cutting about 1/4" off the tail end to accommodate the tow body....I lowered it to settle over the wheels properly, as well.....I added some personal touches to the body and had to trim off a little off the back end of the chrome side fairings and everything fit right into place....To be honest, I was shocked that this plan actually came together as well as it did....Well, I could go on and on, but without further a due..... flat-top Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Very nice JT, that's a tough looking wrecker.
kilrathy10 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 Thanks, Guys for the positive feedback......I appreciate it.....Here's a couple more shots.....
towman1271 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Another amazing job... You're gonna have to come up with a company name for this fleet!!!
Pavel A. Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 JT this is very nice and clean work. Very clean work. The man inside - is it you? )
Jim B Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Excellent job on the wrecker. Nice clean build. You're allowed to have blue lights on wreckers in Texas?
kilrathy10 Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) Yeah, you can have orange/yellow and blue....Just not red.... Construction and Wreckers can use blue.... And, No Pavel, That's not a "mini me"....I'd have to cut all his hair off.... Edited February 7, 2014 by kilrathy10
truckabilly Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Nice wrecker, looks good in black. Cool idea with the guy standing inside. A little difference from usual driver sitting behind the wheel.
tbill Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 awesome build as usual JT! not nearly enough orange on it, but beautiful just the same now, where is the whole fleet picture we've all been waiting for?
mikemodeler Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Very nice, that looks like it was made for each other! I sure would hate to have to keep that thing clean- between the chrome and black paint you would be polishing it every day!
heepey Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Another outstanding build. Great lookin' wrecker
Nacho Z Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Looks like great execution of a very cool idea! Nice work JT.
