IMPALASS89 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Is this out yet? looks like I will be getting this one
Daddyfink Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Impressive. Looks like I might have to get one, or two. Can't wait to hear the whining over this one!
martinfan5 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Is this out yet? looks like I will be getting this one Not for the US market yet, close though
martinfan5 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I should have mine tomorrow, and if not , Monday, I can answer any questions about the kit
Austin T Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I should have mine tomorrow, and if not , Monday, I can answer any questions about the kit Dang man! Do you have a tunnel to Japan in your back yard or something? It seems like you always have your hands on the newest Japanese/Chinese kit right as they come out.
martinfan5 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Dang man! Do you have a tunnel to Japan in your back yard or something? It seems like you always have your hands on the newest Japanese/Chinese kit right as they come out. This time, I have a tunnel from China
1930fordpickup Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I now see why it has a high price tag. This kit is something . Detail looks from the pictures . The amount of pieces is stunning . My only beef with this would be the black plastic for the body , but that can be painted over.
martinfan5 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Since Gregg was able to beat me to it, I wont be posting a thread, but here some more photos http://s1105.photobucket.com/user/irvan2836/library/Kit%20reviews/Ford%20F350%20Meng
Luc Janssens Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Looks great indeed, can't wait to have a copy myself
mikemodeler Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Looking forward to the mailman coming next week! I ordered mine on March 31 from Hobbyeasy in China and they should be here soon. Great service and with shipping the two kits were less than $60 each.
High octane Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I'm not really into trucks in scale, so I won't be getting one. I've had trucks for "daily drivers" for the last 20 years, and it sure comes in handy every once in awhile.
Danno Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 That's a great looking kit. I'm anxious to see how it goes together.
martinfan5 Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 It was pointed out by James that the tires are OEM correct
mikemodeler Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 It was pointed out by James that the tires are OEM correct I wonder how much that factored in to the cost of the kit?
Longbox55 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 It was pointed out by James that the tires are OEM correct I noticed that in your pix. Hankook tires would also have been correct for OEM. From what I see, I only really see a couple of things that are off to my eye. One is the seats. They look a little "blocky" to me. The other is the tie rod. It looks more like a tie rod assembly from a '99-'07 GM 4x4 rather than a Super Duty Ford. Granted, I'm only going from the pix of the parts still on the tree. I'll be finding out soon enough, should have mine in a few weeks when Big 4 in Indy gets them in. Yeah, I know I mentioned in the other thread I most likely wasn't going to get one, but it's just too neat of a kit to pass on.
martinfan5 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) Bill, the seats caught my eyes right of the bat, and that is what I noticed as well Edited April 6, 2014 by martinfan5
tuffone20 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 That's a great looking kit. I'm anxious to see how it goes together. I saw the kit today at the car show and it looks great!!! The only thing I didn't like about the kit is that it is molded in black and will make it a little harder to paint orange.........
charlie8575 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Wow. Most impressive. Soon as I have the money, I'm getting one. I think the real trucks are plug-ugly, but this is so nicely done, the effort deserves support. I'm sure I can find a good way to use it for a creative display, too. Charlie Larkin
Ju Ju Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 (edited) The only thing I didn't like about the kit is that it is molded in black and will make it a little harder to paint orange......... I wouldn't think one molded in black would be any harder to paint orange then say, Barbie Doll Pink ? Edited April 6, 2014 by Ju Ju
FASTBACK340 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 It's ok they roam in a pack and tend to stay deep in the threads that are over 15 pages long. I think we should be able to hold our ground 'till morning. LOL!!! Great analogy! While the seats do indeed look to need some re-shaping, I think as far as pictures show, it looks really nice. Pricey, but nice. Aside from the already mentioned seats, which should be beaten to death by noon this afternoon, I think it's a great new entry into our hobby. Please folks, encourage this manufacturer! Don't split hairs over trim thickness or valve cover engraving. I'd love to see what off-beat topic is next!
Deathgoblin Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 This looks like a really nice kit, I'm impressed. May have to pick one up.
