Jay t. Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I just finished this one to give to my father. It's built just the way he wants to build his real Comet. Maybe this will be motivation to get back on his. I tried a few new details for me on this one such as blackwashing, adding an antenna, darker panel lines and bmf on emblems before painting. I also scribbed panel lines at the bottoms of the fenders and tops along cowl. Painted Peacock Blue with wheels and tires from Revell's 32 Ford five window. Thanks for looking.........Jay
crazyjim Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 That looks like the color of the Comet I drove in drivers ed class way back when. Looks very nice and very SHINY :)
cartpix Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Great build. I love the wheels & the color. It's good to hear, you've tried new techniques. Your Dad will love it.

charlie8575 Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Beautiful job, Jay. If you have the opportunity sometime, stop up at MassCar. We meet third the Wednesday at 7:00-ish at Porter & Chester Institute on the Canton/Stoughton line right off of Rt. 139. Turn right at the Cumberland Farms onto Turnpike St. and follow it down about two miles, we're above the auto shop. Charlie Larkin

Thanks for the invite Charlie, it's hard for me to get alot of free time but i'd like to check it out. I've been to the Masscar show and there are always alot of great builds to check out.
Curt Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Very nice build, Jay! I have one of these in my stash and I think you just inspired me to pull it out...
