My understanding is that the reason there hasn't been a 1998-2012 Crown Vic hasn't been produced is that someone (maybe Motor Max?) has an exclusive 1/24 or 1/25 license agreement with Ford. I do know that the only 1/24 model of the 98-2012 is produced by MotorMax as a diecast. Welly, another diecast maker, has the 98-2012 Crown Victoria in 1/27 scale. Testors had one too in 1/24, but that was a reboxed Motormax.

Don't forget about the Classic Metal Works Crown Vic of the 99ish era.

Never mind I might be thinking of something else.

Yeah I was right, sort of, they did both the CMW and Motor Max.

That was the one Testors reboxed.

Yea. Testors sold the CMW and Motormax as kits at some point. And I think Round2 has the license for the CMW one now under Hawk-if that came along with the Lindberg bundle.

The 2014 Vette. The Rabbit. And the Starsky and Hutch Torino will be added to my collection. I'm really interested in the Torino. I hope it includes some form of stock wheels.

I forgot. I built the Phantom Mustang the last time it came out. Enjoyed building that kit a lot. Tempted to buy another one. But, comeing up with a good reason to do it again is the problem. Do not need another one. The last one I built still looks good.

This build was a parts box build with a Model King body, interior and chassis from a broke up promo and Otaki wheels and tires.

Kinda a Clint Eastwood....kinda a FnF Torino.

A place holder until we get a 72 GT......

Very nice!

The squad car shot is looking enough like somebody else's kit that I'm hoping it's just a stand-in for something else, perhaps for a '98-'11 - 'cause yup, the one they have pictured would make no sense.

Yeah, I'm officially taking a wait-and-see attitude with this one. But if they use 1:1 pics for stand ins on other items, why not use a 1:1 pic for that?

I highly doubt a Snap Together kit will have more than the picture on the box. I just hope the stripe is not painted on!

Or molded on w/ raised lines.. :) As for alternate wheels and tires, well, that is what parts boxes and the aftermarket are for...

Thanks for posting the above picture. Makes me even more hopeful that it can be built as a stock Torino! And it's not some pre painted snap kit.

Can't wait to test fit that chassis under a Jo-Han '72 snapper

In the flyer, the S&H is right next to the Snap Tite '14 Corvette, so one might assume for a minute that "Snap Tite" applies to the whole row. If you examine it, though, each model in that row has its own caption, so that should clarify the Torino's case some.

It also appears that the Corvette is a snapper distinct from the Snap Tite "Build 'n Play" kits listed at the top - so it's more in the mold of the '10 Mustang convertible or Enzo, perhaps? Shared tooling with the predecorated glue kit maybe?

My dad drove a 1976 Torino; It wasn't S&H, but it was a cool car. My brother LOVES those cars. He's already pumped about trying to convert one to Dad's car. I might do the same.

Am I the only one who cares about the Rabbit? (Not Golf, but Rabbit - that's what those cars are to me!)

LOSER HATCH ATTACK! Someone had to scream it, it might as well be me! I NEED a Rabbit to super-loser up my collection. With that weak styling, coal-oily bumper bits and those hubs that look rusty and welfare right from the factory, you KNOW I can hardly wait.

It won't be a Rabbit unless they do a US spec kit, the previously announced RoG kit is a Mk I Golf GTI, which I assume this will be a rebox of.
