crazyjim Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Congratulations. The franchise owner in your area used to be Armand D'Agostino. We grew up together.
crazyjim Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I don't know if he still owns it or not. I've been down here 16 years, so it's probably 20 years or more since I've heard from him.
Tom Geiger Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 what pleased me today? scratchin' the bejeezus out of my truck! When I was 17 I had a 1966 Valiant and I saved my money to get it painted nicely. It had a red interior so I got it painted in Ford Granada silver, which was the rage in 1975. It was pretty. Brand new paint job, my mother grabbed the keys and took it for an errand. She drove too close to the edge of the road and ran it through brush, giving pretty much what you're showing. Man, was I ticked off.
cobraman Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 In 1987 I bought a brand new Ford Ranger GT. Went to work the next day in our van and left the truck home. Wife thought she would wash it. ( Did not need to be washed as it was new) She put so many swirls in the black paint I never got them all out. I was not happy.
Crazy Ed Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 thanks Ed! cheapest, easiest, & funnest way to do it Back in '88 Wife n I bought a New 1 Ton GMC 4 X 4. At the time we had 80 Acres in the Sierra Foothills and with less than 1K miles on it Drove it through Manzanita Brush which resulted in a similar Custom pattern. The following week we had a BBQ Party and a friend came in and yelled "Who Owns The REAL Truck out front? The One with all the scratches". Yep some folks do like trucks that are ment to Work.

Joe Handley Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I guess director of the Nursing Home that Mom will be spending a couple weeks at again is buying the family a pizza from the little Italian place just down the road from the home!
crazyjim Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Tore apart the hobby room in the shop, scrubbed the floor and all the shelves, desks, workbenches. Looks so pretty when it's clean.
cobraman Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Now go mess it up Jim ! How the eyes doing ? Still good I hope.
crazyjim Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 All ready started, Ray. Opened a Revell box with 3 hot rods - '34 roadster, '29 tudor, and a panel delivery. Eyes are good so far and I thought they stay that way. Going to a vein guy tomorrow for an ultrasound on my legs. He saw something in the veins when he cleared the blockages in the arteries. I'm just loving these "golden years".
cobraman Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Golden years my aunt fanny. I go for my 3 month blood draw tomorrow. Doctor next Wednesday.

High octane Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Golden years my aunt fanny. I go for my 3 month blood draw tomorrow. Doctor next Wednesday. Golden Years also known as "the rusty years." My uncle used to say that getting old is like an old car, as your parts start wearing out. Looks like there's some truth to that.
