No, I think that's where 348 was tragically killed.

Back on May 9th, I posted about losing my Job on May 7th. Of course, I went straight to the Indeed website looking for jobs.

I interviewed for a new job, on Friday the 14th., I was hired Monday the 17th, worked my first day on Wednesday the 19th, as well as the next two days. This will be my last weekend off for sometime.

The hours for the new Job, are 8pm-8am (Graves), and Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. So, Four 12's a week, with 16 hours overtime. I've spent 12 of the last 23 years, working graveyard shift, and 15 years working 12 hour shifts. I know this routine. At 58, I am gettin a bit old for this, bit it is a great opportunity with a good, local Oil Field Service Company.

Best of all? Laid off on the 7th, hired on the 17th. Ten days from Job to Job. A new record for me!

I am Stoked.

I was pleased to get 2 12ft. long rolls of indoor/outdoor carpet for my back patio in ( kind of ) my Ford F150 Supercrew with a short bed box.

Had a nice 3-ish mile walk round trip to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants for a late lunch. Today was my birthday!

Happy birthday Steve!

Thanks guys. I feel blessed that I live in such a beautiful area and have a brewpub and a nice Mexican restaurant so close. I also feel blessed that I can walk over there because so many of my younger brothers in styrene have medical issues and could no way do what I did on Saturday.

Our Winnipeg Jets came back from being 3 goals down to beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-4 in overtime!????

Wow! Good for you (and them). I was watching it for awhile and figured it was a blowout so moved on. That's the thing about hockey. This type of thing happens a lot and that's why it's my 2nd favorite sport.

I've lived with the splotchy yellow tint on the junkyard replacement wheel I got for my daily driver for years. Didn't get better looking with age. Wasn't water soluble, didn't come off with Formula 409 cleanser, and really nasty paint solvents only seemed to smear whatever this was. This morning, I decided to use what many model builders use to remove various kinds of glue bomb paint, Purple Power. Don't know why I didn't think of that a year or three earlier. Whatever that stuff was on the wheel, a non-automotive grade clear coat, or cheap furniture polish, it dissolved right off, the wheel looks almost new again!

Thanks for asking Carl. She was pretty much all better in two days. I had never seen her in so much pain since child birth.
