Ramfins59 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 How about these fins...... 1956 DeSoto 1958 Cadillac
peekay Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Staying on topic (it has fins) but more to show what a mistake those tacked-on quad headlights were on 58 Packards. This looks so much better IMO: Edited September 12, 2014 by peekay
Ramfins59 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Here's a '57 Dodge... And a '58 Dodge... and a '59 Dodge...... How about a '59 Plymouth......

MrObsessive Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Staying on topic (it has wings) but more to show what a mistake those tacked-on quad headlights were on 58 Packards. This looks so much better IMO: Aaaaah..........some might think I'm crazy, but I just LOVE this car! True there weren't very many made (588?), but you certainly wouldn't see yourself coming and going!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) More is better. or maybe not... Maybe bigger is better... ...or at multiple angles... ...or that just don't go with the rest of the car at all. And maybe they're making a comeback. The End Edited September 11, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy

Greg Myers Posted September 14, 2014 Author Posted September 14, 2014 You guys have really come through with all the scale models. Great job.
clovis Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 The '59 Cadillac makes my heart melt. I love big fins!

unclescott58 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 As far as cars with fins. Here are two of my favorites. GM's Firebird III and Lincoln's Futura. Only Harley Earl and crew in the late 1950's can design a car with 7 fins and still make it look good. And we all know the fate of Futura. As much as I like Batman and the Barris redesign. I like the Futura in its original form better. Scott
unclescott58 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 Forgot about the the DiDia 150. Owned by Booby Darin, and shown from a rear view by Bill at the bottom of post #9. Another great one. Scott
