Monogram Horn Toad

Let's not forget that this kit got re-tooled (so un-fortunately can never be re-issued ) into the "Rattler.

The "Rattler"was molded in a Lime Green.

I had a “Pyro” kit of a ‘36 Cord that was molded in green.

I think it’s already been mentioned - JoHan ‘63 Olds Starfire; IMC “Avenger”; Monogram “Green Hornet”;

The interesting part of threads like this is seeing so many unusual kits I've NEVER EVEN SEEN BEFORE!

I think this hobby would be impossible to completely document in a book. Just when you think you've seen them all - more pop up out of nowhere.

1. The old Aurora Ford double kit had the custom body in green

2. MPC Gangbuster Lincoln convertible was in green

3. Monogram sand crab was in green

What about the Green Hornet kits? The Monogram hot rod and the Aurora tv show car.

The superhero was the Green Hornet, but his car was called Black Beauty, thus the kit was molded in black.

I thought it was green, I have a figure of what I think is the Green Hornet and he's molded in green. He's in a suit and has a fedora hat like the character, so I assumed...

I built one of those in 1966, and guess what, I still have it! Should dig it out and restore it soon, I guess.

Don't know if this was mentioned, but ROG's Jaguar XKSS (reissue) was molded in a dark green. I'd show a pic but I'm at work right now, and of course there are no models here. ;)

I had a Revell Baldwin Motion '69 Camaro molded in the same bright green as its '70 AAR Cuda kit.

Now THAT's one I've never heard of!

Wow, never heard of that. What year Camaro is it?

And I thought of another one: I'm pretty sure I have a Lindberg '79 or '80 Mustang "Cobra" molded in a bright medium green.

This one..

It was 85-7426. I bought it in '91 or'92. I thought it was an odd color. I bought another BM Camaro (same stock number) a couple years later and it was molded in red. The roof was gekakt; so, I called up Revellogram for a replacement. Guess what RM sent me..........a green body to go with all of the red parts and a free set of Yenko Camaro decals. Go figure.
