Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I like it. It's not your typical cookie cutter hot rod that seems to pop up in every show and looks to be very well made.

Oh he gets it alright. That is a rod if there ever was. Its classic style, but original and unique. And the Olds Rocket is the icing on the cake. This guy gets it.

I agree with Kalbert, this guy gets it, and get's it in spades at that! It screams early 60's show rod and I wouldn't be surprised if the builder is even 50 years of age himself.

Those cars would have been considered beautiful in the early '60s. They're very much in that era's showcar style--look at Ala Kart or Lil Coffin. Not my thing at all.

An old Ford done up in almost a show rod fashion with an Olds mill. Some of the details may be a bit much. Pretty cool rod though. Last I checked the idea behind building a show rod/custom was to make it different. Pretty sure he DOES get it.

Interesting. Been around a while too. Good craftsmanship, but some questionable design elements. I don't care for the tubular outrigger-struts for the vestigial running boards, and the nose looks to me like it's been driven into something dead-center, and pulled everything in with the impact. Sorta like an old-guy with no teeth, ya know?

Agree 100%. A beautiful car.

I love it! If it's a Japanese car, why does it have California plates?

Because it's now owned by a guy in California that's old enough to remember cars like this being build for the cars shows back in the 60's, and appreciates them!

Neato! But, I'm not keen on the outrigger/running board treatment, either.

I tried something very, very similar on a model several years ago and I could never get it to look anything but awkward. Just like this rod.
